Blue Thunder is the 1984 television adaptation of the 1983 film. The series was not a continuation of the film, but instead followed a special unit within the Los Angeles Police Department that used the helicopter to fight crime. The cast starred James Farentino, Dana Carvey, as well as former NFL stars Dick Butkus and Bubba Smith. The series was broadcast in competition with the similarly themed Airwolf and only aired for 11 episodes in the US on ABC.

M61 20mm Vulcan Cannon
As in the film, the M61 Vulcan is the main weapon of the Blue Thunder helicopter.
Handguns
Heckler & Koch P9S
A P9S is the sidearm carried by Blue Thunder's pilot, Frank Chaney (James Farentino). The pistol is used by Wonderlove (Dana Carvey) in "Godchild" (S1E10).
Heckler & Koch VP70
The Heckler & Koch VP70 is the service pistol carried by "Ski" Butowski (Dick Butkus) and "Bubba" Kelsey (Bubba Smith) in the series.
Colt Detective Special
The Colt Detective Special is used by several characters including Blue Thunder's flight engineer Clinton "JAFO" Wonderlove (Dana Carvey).
Colt Official Police
The Colt Official Police is seen carried by uniformed officers in the series.

Heckler & Koch HK33A3
"Ski" Butowski (Dick Butkus) is seen with a Heckler & Koch HK33A3 in the series premiere "Second Thunder" (S1E01).

Heckler & Koch HK94
The Heckler & Koch HK94, the 16" barreled carbine version of the Heckler & Koch MP5 is also among the weapons used by "Ski" Butowski (Dick Butkus) and "Bubba" Kelsey (Bubba Smith).

The M60 is prominently used by "Bubba" Kelsey (Bubba Smith) in "The Long Flight" (S1E09).

Browning M2HB heavy machine guns are used by a drug lord's henchmen in "The Long Flight" (S1E09).

Bubba and Ski are seen holding what appears to be an M72 LAW modified with a pistol grip.
