Joseph Kosala served 34 years with the Chicago Police Department in addition to appearing in several Chicago-based films and television series. One of his first roles was as Lt. Kobas in the [[Chuck Norris]]-starring film ''[[Code of Silence]]'', where he also served one of the film's technical advisors.
