Mexican Federal Police officers, Border Patrol Officers, and cartel members carry M4A1s with detachable carrying handle rear iron sights and older A2 rounded handguards. At least two Phoenix SWAT officer wield M4A1s with black Magpul MOE furniture and ACOG scopes in the first minutes of the film and are carried as well by Delta Force commandos, most notably by the team leader (Dylan Kenin) during the night raid to the tunnels in conjunction with the standard M4A1. Its possible these may be airsoft replicas as well like the G&P M4 MOE CQBR but these rifles feature 14.5 in barrels.

A similar rifle is also seen in Silvio's (Maximiliano Hernández) home.
