City Hunter is the Japanese anime series adaptation of the popular manga of the same name. The series aired for 4 seasons and 140 episodes from April 6, 1987 to October 10, 1991. City Hunter was also adapted into a 1993 Jackie Chan feature film as well as a 2011 live action Korean language television series.
The following weapons were used in the anime series City Hunter:
Revolvers
Colt Python
The Colt Python is the weapon of choice used by the protagonist Ryo Saeba in all seasons. The gun it's usually shown as the 6 inch barrel version and sometimes with 4 inch barrel. In many stealth situation Ryo absurdly uses a sound suppressor. The revolver is the blued finish version with wooden grip. In City Hunter the Colt Python is shown as a very powerful handgun with a unique sound and extreme damage with high accuracy. Often it seems more powerful than others revolver with calibers like .44 and .41 Magnum. This is impossible. Probably is only a big tribute to a classic icon.
