The Narrow Margin is a 1952 film noir mystery that follows an LAPD detective as he tries to transport the wife of a mob boss back to Los Angeles on a passenger train while hitmen attempt to eliminate her. A feature film remake that starred Gene Hackman and Anne Archer was released in 1990.

The Colt Detective Special is the main firearm used in the film. The revolver is seen in the hands of Detective Sgt. Walter Brown (Charles McGraw) as well as various henchman.
