Russell Crowe is an Australian actor who first gained notoriety for his portrayal of an Australian skinhead in the 1992 film Romper Stomper. He would soon rise to fame worldwide following his notable roles in the films L.A. Confidential, The Insider, A Beautiful Mind, and as General Maximus Decimus Meridius in the 2000 film Gladiator (for which Crowe received an Academy Award for Best Actor).
