I think they added them only to show that criminals buy guns in stores, I mean they have sort of underground dealers for everything else, they even have a car dealer and there is specific dialogue where the character is told would you want to shop at a car dealer, no, and then in like the same or next mission he goes in a gun store and has to buy a full auto 416 ,its specificaly a mission requirment,it doesn't even show up in the store before the mission + there are 2 grenade launchers you can buy there, I mean this is a game where all poker games are underground and the only visible gambling is one slot machine (I'm not counting the games where you only earn rewards not money) pretty much the only other stores that are legal stores are grocieries, pharmacies and pawn shops (if you count that)--[[User:Iceman|Iceman]] ([[User talk:Iceman|talk]]) 06:43, 29 May 2014 (EDT)

Alternate Chicago is gun friendly

So apparently this game takes place in an alternate reality Chicago and according to the recent screen caps, there's a lot of guns in stores. It kinda gave me a chuckle when I heard there's a gun store in Chicago in this game Excalibur01 (talk) 18:55, 21 May 2013 (EDT)

Well I guess someone in the future finally realised real criminals don't buy guns in stores. --Iceman (talk) 05:51, 22 May 2013 (EDT)

I think they added them only to show that criminals buy guns in stores, I mean they have sort of underground dealers for everything else, they even have a car dealer and there is specific dialogue where the character is told would you want to shop at a car dealer, no, and then in like the same or next mission he goes in a gun store and has to buy a full auto 416 ,its specificaly a mission requirment,it doesn't even show up in the store before the mission + there are 2 grenade launchers you can buy there, I mean this is a game where all poker games are underground and the only visible gambling is one slot machine (I'm not counting the games where you only earn rewards not money) pretty much the only other stores that are legal stores are grocieries, pharmacies and pawn shops (if you count that)--Iceman (talk) 06:43, 29 May 2014 (EDT)

It even violates the ATF laws on the gun imports : most of them are explicitly said to be German,Italian and even RUSSIAN! Despite one law forbid the Russia to import gun in US. (A Yeltsin nd Clinton accord, if I recall correctly...)--Dannyguns (talk) 13:09, 4 June 2017 (EDT)

"Exposed" Trailer

There's another trailer out, with some more firearms visible in it, including at least one large revolver. It also happens to be a pretty cool trailer. Atypicaloracle (talk) 06:57, 22 June 2013 (EDT)

A small weapon nuance which makes this game amazing

I do not know if anyone else has noticed this yet, but one of the small things about this game that I love is how Aiden holds his firearm (specifically a handgun). If you press the L1 Button he will begin to raise the weapon with one hand, but if you wait a little bit longer he will take his other hand to support his grip. Very small observation, but one of the many regarding firearms in this game that I Love.

--Yeah I loved this as well, the only problem I have with this game is the lack of slide movement when you fire.

Unfortunately Aiden doesn't know how to hold a rifle. He rests the buttstock on his bicep rather than his shoulder. This would make it impossible to aim. --ILY22UK (talk) 17:14, 17 June 2014 (EDT)

Burst-fire Weapons

They work exactly like they did in Far Cry 3. Just a heads up. --HashiriyaR32 (talk) 01:17, 10 June 2014 (EDT)

Malfunction in ways that defy physics? Spartan198 (talk) 06:17, 10 June 2014 (EDT)
The FAMAS did that? Anyway, what I meant is that watch_dog's burst fire behaves realistically (full-auto with burst limit)making single or 2-shot bursts possible with a careful trigger finger. --HashiriyaR32 (talk) 10:19, 10 June 2014 (EDT)
Sorry, joke on my part. ;) You mentioned Far Cry and I flashed back to the hilarious ways that some of the guns in it malfunction. Spartan198 (talk) 18:34, 17 June 2014 (EDT)
Oh, I got a laugh out of our Far Cry 2 page with all those malfunctioning malfunctions --HashiriyaR32 (talk) 19:55, 17 June 2014 (EDT)

Is the D12 a real weapon? Please help

I cannot find any shotgun that resembles the D12. Stoeger and Mossberg have some loosely similar so called "Tactical Double Barrel Shotguns", but none of them matches this. If anyone knows what this gun could be, please respond. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 13:35, 23 October 2014 (EDT)

OCP-11 might be a AK SBR variant

So it's obvious that the gun is not a true ak because of the selector switch, however you might want to note that it is a fictional ak variant instead of just a complety fake gun.
