One of the bank robbers is into other major criminal activity that includes having a large arsenal of military type weapons. Picking up their besieged elderly families, the youngsters discover the older generation's World War II experience allow the senior citizens to be highly proficient in weapons use.

"Mental Mickey"'s (Ashley Thomas) main weapon is a Remington 870 with a folding stock, barrel ribbing, and a extended magazine tube. Micky identifies it as the "Express" variant and he named his "Tracy". Clive (Tony Gardner), a hostage from the bank, later commandeers it. Andy later finds a similar looking one in Mental's Lockup, but with a pump mounted flashlight and a spare shell holder.
