Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino is the sequel of Gunslinger Girl , an anime series following the tale of cybernetic girls trained by the Italian government to kill, apprehend, or stop plots by the right-wing separatist movement Five Republics Faction ( nickname: Padania), a terrorist group to the eyes of the Italian government. The show consists of five main girls, Triela, Henrietta, Rico, Angelica, and Claes; each has their own history of being there, some sad, some are best left a mystery. These girls are under the care of handlers, an agent in Section 2 of the Social Welfare Agency (SWA), who takes full responsibility of training them to kill and upbringing them to the way they should interact with the public. The team consisting of a cyborg and a handler is called "Fratello" which means "brothers and sisters" in Italian.
The basis of the story is about Pinocchio, a highly skilled assassin working with Christiano, the head of the Padania movement; so skilled in fact that he can beat a trained cyborg in a 1 vs. 1 match. When he is assigned to help freelance bombers, Franca and Franco, with their mission, he gets into a fight with one of the cyborgs. After sparing her life once he defeats her, he starts a personal vendetta between the two that carries on throughout the series.

The following weapons were used in the anime series Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino:
Henrietta uses a two-toned SIG-Sauer P239 as her main sidearm.
SIG-Sauer P230SL
Triela uses a stainless steel SIG-Sauer P230SL as her personal sidearm. Triela uses the P230SL until she loses it in a fight against Pinocchio. Hillshire also used a SIG-Sauer P230SL back when he worked with Europol.
SIG Sauer P232
Hillshire uses a SIG-Sauer P232 as his personal sidearm. He gives one to Triela after her P230SL was taken by Pinocchio.
Heckler & Koch P7
In Episode 5, an unknown terrorist attempts an assassination with a H&K P7.
Olga uses a Desert Eagle as her sidearm. She uses it in an attack on a suspected terrorist in an armored car, which even the .50 AE round can't penetrate.
Beretta M1934
Christiano uses a stainless steel Beretta M1934 as a self-protection weapon.
Beretta 84
Pinocchio uses a suppressed Beretta 84 in his first assassination. In a flashback scene, Angelica uses a Beretta 84 as her first training weapon.
Franca carries a Beretta 3032 Tomcat as her backup weapon after her Beretta 9000S is lost.
Beretta 92FS
SWA agents and Padania terrorists use the Beretta 92FS as one of their sidearms. In Episode 5, one of the terrorists, Leo, use it to hold Patricia hostage.
Beretta 93R
John Doe, a Padania hit man, uses a Beretta 93R as his preferred sidearm. A Mob leader bodyguards are also equipped with Beretta 93Rs.
SIG P210
The SIG P210 is used by Franco as his personal sidearm. In a scene he tests Pinocchio by aiming it at the guy, but in the next shot, you noticed that the hammer is not cocked and the action is single action, so it wouldn't be threatening and he wouldn't be able to harm Pinocchio even if he wanted to because of this fact.
Ruger Revolver
In a flashback scene, Rachelle uses a Ruger Revolver in a raid on a suspected snuff film set.
Submachine guns
FN P90
Henrietta uses a FN P90 as her main weapon. She covertly carries it in a violin gun case.
In Episode 6, a Heckler & Koch MP5K can be seen among other weapons in its infamous "briefcase" configuration.
Micro Uzi
Beatrice uses a Micro Uzi during a scene where she, along with Rico and their handlers, hunt down a terrorist member suspected of a series of bombing attacks.
Beretta M12
In Episode 1, terrorists use the Beretta M12 Sub-machine gun to attack members of the Social Welfare Agency as they are being tailed. In Episode 4, a terrorist uses the Beretta for the same situation.
SA vz. 61 Skorpion
The stockless Sa. Vz. 61 Skorpion is seen hanging in Pinocchio's gun closet. Franco uses it in a firefight in Pinocchio's home and in a bombing plot.
Franchi LF-57
A Franchi LF-57 can be seen in Pinocchio's gun closet. Various guards in Christiano's mansion are also equipped with Franchi LF-57.
A Padania suspect wields a Benelli M3 when the SWA attempts to apprehend him. (A continuity error: When the SWA comes to arrest him, the suspect shoots through the door with what sounds like a rifle or SMG, but he is seen wielding the shotgun after they break in. It's either that or the terrorist switched weapons before attempting his escape.) Priscilla in Episode 13 also uses a Benelli M3 in semi-auto in an attempt to stop Franca's car.
Benelli M4 Super 90
A Benelli M4 Super 90 is seen hanging in Pinocchio's gun closet and in the SWA armory.
