The Colt CM901 (Colt Modular) is an American assault rifle produced by Colt. While using the same basic design principles as the M16 rifle series and sharing aesthetic resemblances, the CM901 is a modular platform able to have its caliber and barrel length quickly swapped without the use of tools. The rifle accepts STANAG 5.56x45mm magazines and the receiver can be changed out to fire 7.62x51mm NATO rounds, which are fed by either a proprietary magazine or by using SR-25 magazines.
