National Treasure is a 2004 adventure film starring Nicolas Cage as Benjamin Franklin Gates, a historian and cryptologist who is searching for a hidden cache of riches that was hidden during the American Revolutionary War. The film was directed by Jon Turteltaub and the cast including Diane Kruger, Justin Bartha, Harvey Keitel, and Sean Bean. A sequel, National Treasure: Book of Secrets was released in 2007.
