I was looking at a screenshot I took of the IDF's FN MAG when I noticed the printing on the side of the gun said "L7A2" (despite the game calling it a FN MAG in the inventory). * I got a screenshot of the M240B and I noticed that has all the features of a real M240B (heat shield, MIL-STD-1913 rail, synthetic stock) but yet it also has the L7A2's printing on the side. I now go against my above statement and think that the FN MAGs are actual FN MAGs, just the developers got lazy and put the L7A2 printing on the side. Still would be a good idea for someone who's better at identifying weapons to confirm or deny this.

::::Mark your posts and hold out on the cuss words for a time when they're of actual practical usage rather than here. As for why the Germans are fighting it out with Russia in Norway, I think it's just due to the fact the PR team haven't added the Norwegian Army. Most likely they won't ever add the Norwegians due to the fact that it'd just be the exact same as other NATO nations and working to model specific equipment, tanks, aircraft and more isn't worth the time rather than just placing a pre-existing army that would probably operate in a similar area in that specific situation. --PaperCake 19:48, 31 March 2017 (EST)

Besides the AKM and AKMS there are still several others we need screenshots of (I'll probably do if no one else does in due time). I think the RGD-5 replaced the F1 for most militant grenades and the Russians now use the RGO hand grenade. I think there might be some others.

Is that the name used in-game? The actual name for this carbine is "Menusar," so I'm wondering if it's a mistake in the game or just a typo. I don't have the game to check for myself. Spartan198 (talk) 19:37, 22 December 2020 (EST) |

RPG-7
Seeing how Orca has practically single handedly constructed this page I didn't want to just barge in and go changing things.
However, just like the Taliban Russians, Militia and Hamas all use the 7VM and 7VR warheads with their light and heavy AT kits respectively, the light AT being an alternative choice for the Russian and militia factions. As such I'd change the now Taliban specific wording to a more generalized state. --Fin- 11:36, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Upcoming Additions
The following is a catalog of upcoming weapons due to be added in the v1.0 update presently being developed, as seen in dev blogs.
Orca1 9904 (talk) 07:15, 10 April 2013 (EDT)
Have any of these weapons been added to Project Reality yet?--TW6464 (talk) 14:38, 29 April 2013 (EDT)
- Nope, and as far as I know there is no fixed date of 1.0s release as of yet. But as with the here mentioned new weapons, we are to pretty much expect new models on some of the existing firearms, sounds and animations, so they can be justified in taking their sweet time with the project. --BeloglaviSup (talk) 16:41, 29 April 2013 (EDT)
- If you check the Realitymod Youtube channel (link here), you can see dev blogs showing progress they're making on v1.0. In addition to adding and improving weapons for existing factions (including adding backup iron sights to scoped non-sniper/DMR weapons), they're also going to be adding the French military as well. Orca1 9904 (talk) 00:55, 30 April 2013 (EDT)
List has been updated to include weapons showcased in this post on the PR website: [1]. Also, v1.0 is now in open Beta as of June 29. Orca1 9904 (talk) 07:42, 29 June 2013 (EDT)
- I'm exacted all around about these additions. Now, is it just me or does that RPK-74M have a suspiciously curved magazine, almost as if it's chambered for 7.62x39? Also have they announced the details about tweaking they've been doing around with kit geometries? I sincerely hope Russians at least get to wield the Saiga this time around. --BeloglaviSup (talk) 08:39, 29 June 2013 (EDT)
There's two new classes coming: the Machine Gunner and the Spotter. Also, they're getting rid of the Incindiary Grenade and putting in c4. It's all found here: http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f380-project-reality-news/120542-project-reality-bf2-v1-0-open-beta-released.html --TW6464 (talk) 12:08, 29 June 2013 (EDT)
PR v1.0 is now live. I am downloading it as I type this, and will provide screenshots once installation is complete. Orca1 9904 (talk) 20:02, 2 August 2013 (EDT)
- I ran into problems during the installation which left me unable to complete the process, and as such have had to abort the process. Orca1 9904 (talk) 18:45, 13 September 2013 (EDT)
- Thanks for that. Don't forget we'll need screenshots of the new weapons for the other factions, as well as replacements for some of the existing weapons to reflect texture changes (such as scopes not having opaque lenses anymore) and the addition of backup iron sights. Orca1 9904 (talk) 02:13, 28 September 2013 (EDT)
- I can't speak for everyone of course, but I'm, personally, quite fond of your choice in resolution. If it was anything smaller, it would be perhaps a bit too small for me. --BeloglaviSup (talk) 07:37, 28 September 2013 (EDT)
FN MAGs are actually L7A2's
I was looking at a screenshot I took of the IDF's FN MAG when I noticed the printing on the side of the gun said "L7A2" (despite the game calling it a FN MAG in the inventory). I'll look into this more, but I do believe that the FN MAGs and Canadian C6s actually use the British L7A2's model (most likely a placeholder). Should we change the L7A2 and FN MAG 58's information accordingly?
