Vyacheslav Vasilyevich Tikhonov (February 8, 1928 – December 4, 2009) was a Soviet and Russian actor. He started his cinema career in 1948. His best known roles are Prince Andrei Bolkonski in War and Peace (1968) and Stierlitz in Seventeen Moments of Spring (1973). In 1974 he was awarded the title of People's Artist of USSR.
