The Baytown Outlaws is a 2012 action movie set in the Southern United States which tells the story of the redneck Oodie brothers Brick (Clayne Crawford), Lincoln (Daniel Cudmore) and McQueen (Travis Fimmel) who spend their days serving as an unofficial mop-up team for county sheriff Millard (Andre Braugher).

They accept an assignment for Celeste (Eva Longoria), ex-wife to local mobster Carlos (Billy Bob Thornton), to rescue her godson Rob (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) from Carlos's hands and kill Carlos as well. Things do not go quite as planned and the Oodie brothers find themselves being chased by several gangs and the local authorities.

The following weapons were used in the film The Baytown Outlaws:

Handguns

SIG-Sauer P226

McQueen (Travis Fimmel) carries a nickel SIG-Sauer P226 as his side arm for most of the movie, usually dual-wielding it with a Glock 17.

Glock 17

McQueen’s second weapon of choice is a Glock 17, identifiable by the grip as 2nd generation, that he is usually seen dual-wielding with a SIG-Sauer P226. Several local law enforcement officers also carry the Glock 17.

Browning Hi-Power

Beretta 92FS

It is not totally visually confirmed, but the grip with the two screws seem to give Reese’s gun away as a Beretta 92FS.

Taurus Model 689

Brick carries a 6” blued Taurus Model 689 revolver as his sidearm throughout the movie. He usually keeps it tucked inside his belt, not using any kind of holster.

Heckler & Koch MP5K

One of the members of the native American biker gang carries a Heckler & Koch MP5A2 with a Surefire 628 dedicated forend weaponlight, a picatinny-mounted aimpoint and a silencer. The stock is not visible, but since the gun is reloaded while running, and the left hand is not on the grip, it is assumed that the gun is carried by the fixed stock.

Unidentified M4A1 Carbine Variants

Two members of the native American biker gang use some kind of M4A1 carbine variants, but model/manufacturer cannot be identified.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
This version is characterized by a typically shaped barrel cover, not unlike the one seen on the Magpul Masada, but this is ruled out by the forward assist (visible when the image is enlarged).

Apart from the RIS handguard, the ‘M4A1’ style carrying handle and new-model collapsible stock, not enough details for a good identification of the exact M4A1 carbine variant.

Shotguns

Mossberg 590

Brick seems to have a personal preference for shotguns and for the better part of the movie, he carries a Mossberg 590 without heat shield but with ghost ring sights and extended tube.

Saiga 12K

Rose (Zoë Bell), one of the female assassins sent after the Oodies by drug lord Carlos, fires a Saiga 12K with a 20-round Wraithmaker drum magazine and short barrel without flash hider. Lincoln later takes the shotgun from her and uses it against the Hood Pirates gang. The Saiga 12K from this movie is the same one that Independent Studio Services (ISS) originally built for Gamer, and which was also used in The Expendables, Drive Angry, The Last Stand, etc.

Short Barreled Side by Side Shotgun

For most of the movie, Brick uses a short barrelled side by side shotgun of unknown make that he keeps in a low-tech custom holster on his hip. Mona (Agnes Bruckner), one of the prostitute assassins, walks out of the mansion where the girls have finished their latest hit with the same shotgun over her shoulder, though it is never fired.

Rob’s shirt

The Oodie brothers present Rob with a t-shirt, the text of which is a tongue-in-cheek reference to both the current gun debate in the US, as well as the fact that the leading figures in this movie are in fact outlaws.
