Violent City (original title Roma violenta ("Violent Rome")) is a 1975 Italian crime movie directed by Marino Girolami (credited as Franco Martinelli) and starring Maurizio Merli as Commissioner Betti. The film has two sequels, Violent Naples and A Special Cop in Action.

In one scene Inspector De Rossi (Giuliano Esperanti) shows a Nambu Type 14 to his boss (Silvano Tranquilli), the chief of special police squad who is very surprised, looking at this pistol. This pistol is never used in action.

A Beretta M12 is used by the robber (Marco Stefanelli) in the grocery store. During the robbery in the bank and the ensuing car chase Beretta M12 is used by the leader of the gang, Franco "The Nail" Spadoni (John Steiner).
