Vigilante Force is a 1976 action movie directed by George Armitage. A sleepy little town is assaulted by gangs of hoodlums. The local police is powerless, so town authorities decide to hire a Vietnam War veteran Aaron Arnold (Kris Kristofferson) and a company of his buddies as a posse. Arnold establishes the law in the town, but this is his own law...
The following weapons are seen in the movie Vigilante Force:
Handguns
Smith & Wesson Model 10
A Smith & Wesson Model 10 with custom grips is a personal weapon of Aaron Arnold (Kris Kristofferson). Several police officers also carry Model 10 revolvers.
Colt Detective Special
Freddie Howe (Antony Carbone) and several of his henchmen carry Colt Detective Special revolvers.
Single Action Army
In the opening scene Chief Harry Lee (Judson Pratt) carries a Single Action Army revolver, supposedly some modern copy.
Various revolvers
Various revolvers are seen during the movie. They are not seen clear enough to be identified.
Remington 1866 Derringer
During the brawl in the bar Mayor Bradford (Brad Dexter) holds a nickel plated derringer pistol with pearl grips. The exact model is hard to be identified but the general outlook resembles Remington 1866 Derringer.
Shotguns
High Standard Flite King
D.O. Viner (Shelly Novack) carries a High Standard Flite King shotgun in one scene.
Ithaca 37
Aaron Arnold (Kris Kristofferson), Brian Seldon (Carmen Argenziano) and Perry Beal (Charles Cyphers) carry Ithaca 37 shotguns in one scene.
Double Barreled Shotgun
In the final scene several of Ben Arnold's comrades-in-arms are armed with double barreled shotguns.
Rifles
Winchester Model 70
In the final scene Ben Arnold (Jan-Michael Vincent) and Paul Sinton (Andrew Stevens) are armed with rifles that resemble Pre-1964 Winchester Model 70 (stocks and sniper scopes are different).
Lever-action rifle
In the final scene several of Ben Arnold's comrades-in-arms are seen with lever-action rifles.
Various rifles
In the final scene several of Ben Arnold's comrades-in-arms carry various rifles, that are seen too unclear to be identified.
Musket
Members of shooting club "Green Mountain Boy" are seen with old-fashioned muskets.
Assault Rifles
M16
Original M16s with 3-prong flash hiders are seen in hands of Aaron Arnold (Kris Kristofferson), his henchmen and Freddie Howe's (Antony Carbone) gang.
Hand Grenades
Mk 2 hand grenade
A crate of hand grenades is found by Chief Harry Lee on Aaron Arnold's ranch. Only a blurry outlook of a grenade can be seen, but they can be guessed to be Mk 2s. Grenades are used by Aaron Arnold (Kris Kristofferson) and his henchmen in the final scene, but only explosions can be seen.
Other Weapons
M20A1/A1B1 "Super Bazooka"
In the final scene Aaron Arnold (Kris Kristofferson) uses a "Super Bazooka". It is called "M66 Antitank" in the movie.
