Sonic X is a Japanese anime featuring the SEGA mascot video game character Sonic the Hedgehog. It was produced by TMS Entertainment and ran for three seasons (2003-2005). The story starts with a mechanical accident that launches Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends (and enemies) into an alternative world, which is our own home Earth in the present time. Just like our home, several human characters are seen carrying weapons, including police officers, agents, and special operators from G.U.N. (Guardian Units of Nations, a fictional agency designed to counter nemesis Dr. Eggman.) Even though the show focuses mostly on Sonic and his friends, various weapons have been seen to detail.
The following weapons appear in the anime series Sonic X:
Handguns
SIG-Sauer P229
In episode 40, Dr. Eggman arrive in the President's Oval Office where he is immediately surrounded by Secret Service Agents armed with pistols. With the angles given it appears they are SIG-Sauer P229s, the standard service pistol for the United States Secret Service at the time the episode was produced.
Smith & Wesson Model 37 Airweight
In the first episode of the second season, police attempt to shoot the liquid lifeform, Chaos, with no effect using Smith & Wesson Model 37 Revolvers.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Throughout the first two seasons, various police officers and G.U.N. operators are seen carrying the Heckler & Koch MP5A3 submachine guns. In episode 11, G.U.N. operator Topaz is seen carrying an MP5A3, clearly identifiable by it's old-version extending buttstock, SEF Trigger Group with the finger grooves, 3-Lug barrel, and the tropical forearm.
Heckler & Koch HK94A3
Chopped Heckler & Koch HK94A3s are used by SWAT officers identified due to the lack of lugs on the barrel.
Sniper Rifles
Heckler & Koch PSG-1
In the 3rd episode, police officers try to hold one of Dr. Eggman's robots at bay. They seem to be equipped with Heckler & Koch PSG-1 rifles. One difference between these and the real PSG-1's is the visibility of wooden forearms and buttstocks.
Machine Guns
M230 Chain Gun
In the sixth episode of the second season (final episode of the Chaos Saga), several AH-64D Apache Longbows attempt to shoot Perfect Chaos with their mounted M230 Chain Guns.
