The Trench is an upcoming first-person shooter developed by an independent gaming studio in France. Set during World War One, the player takes control of a sector of the French Army lines during the Battle of Verdun, one of the bloodiest engagements of the conflict. During the three days before the battle starts, the player must position the troops, send out patrols and trench raids and use air and artillery assets to control the battlefield.

The Berthier 1907-15 will also appear amongst the French faction.

The Chauchat will be used by the French faction.
