This movie is called 'The Preacher' and I correctly named it 'Preacher, The'. However, I'd also like the movie to show up when people type in 'The Preacher' in the search field. Pardon my ignorance, but do you guys have any suggestions how to do that? I seem to remember creating a blank page called 'The Preacher' with some kind of redirect to 'Preacher, The' but I don't know how to do that. Thanks in advanve for your help, --PeeWee055 (talk) 10:36, 27 January 2013 (EST)

Suppressors screwed into barrels appears to be a pretty common occurrence with prop guns. I don't know if that would instantly distinguish that gun as a blank-firing replica. --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:54, 26 January 2013 (EST)

Exactly what I wanted to write but you beat me to it. Also, I have never seen a blank Beretta copy with a Brigadier slide. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 15:59, 26 January 2013 (EST)
I searched around on the Internet and I found that Umarex supplies a Brigadier-style gun; the Umarex Beretta 92 A1 Brigadier. Not quite sure that we have 100% ID but I am open to more plausible suggestions, --PeeWee055 (talk) 11:57, 27 January 2013 (EST)
Why can't it just be a real gun adapted to fire blanks? As we pointed out, it's fairly common. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:10, 27 January 2013 (EST)

Well, that Umarex Beretta has an under-barrel rail and Elite slide. I would say the one in the film is a Beretta 92FS Brigadier. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 12:23, 27 January 2013 (EST)
Okay guys, guess you're right. Let me change to Beretta 92FS Brigadier in a few minutes. One question, wouldn't inserting things in the barrel (like a prop silencer) damage the grooves or the inner-barrel? --PeeWee055 (talk) 12:31, 27 January 2013 (EST)
A barrel that has been used on a theatrical blank firer cannot fire live rounds anyway, so the fact that you have messed up the rifling or machined a threaded section in the end is the least of your problems. I think that if you want a modern semi-automatic pistol to fire blanks you need to remove any locking mechanism to turn it into a straight blowback firearm, along with probably adding a BFA in the barrel to restrict that gas (not sure if this last part is required with pistols, anyone else know what they do?). --commando552 (talk) 12:49, 27 January 2013 (EST)

Mine or magazine

In below scene in the movie, the guy on the right claims he's holding a mine, but it might actually be a magazine for the RPK on the left.

Can anybody confirm what this is; a mine or a magazine? Thanks, --PeeWee055 (talk) 15:55, 26 January 2013 (EST)

It differs in shape from a Soviet 75-round magazine for RPK. But Chinese and Romanian modifications look more like this one, though not exactly the same. Greg-Z (talk) 16:02, 26 January 2013 (EST)
I would say it is a mine (or at least a mock up) as the shape is too complicated to be a magazine. You would never have a square step on a drum magazine like that, and the raised disc in the middle looks like a pressure plate. --commando552 (talk) 18:10, 26 January 2013 (EST)
I think we really have a mine here. I watched the scene in slow motion and the guy actually tosses the thing around in his hands (!) and the object is completely round without some kind of rectangular shape on the side where ammunition goes in/out. Thanks for all your comments, --PeeWee055 (talk) 10:40, 27 January 2013 (EST)

Page naming for movies starting with 'The'

This movie is called 'The Preacher' and I correctly named it 'Preacher, The'. However, I'd also like the movie to show up when people type in 'The Preacher' in the search field. Pardon my ignorance, but do you guys have any suggestions how to do that? I seem to remember creating a blank page called 'The Preacher' with some kind of redirect to 'Preacher, The' but I don't know how to do that. Thanks in advanve for your help, --PeeWee055 (talk) 10:36, 27 January 2013 (EST)

The code for redirect is #REDIRECTMOVIE NAME. Greg-Z (talk) 11:27, 27 January 2013 (EST)
It works, thanks! --PeeWee055 (talk) 12:01, 27 January 2013 (EST)
