Though David Shepherd uses a [[Beretta 92FS]] in the pilot, the other Gilboan soldiers throughout the show are seen using [[Smith & Wesson M&P]]s as their sidearms. The use of these pistols, along with the [[Smith & Wesson M&P15|Smith & Wesson M&P15 Tactical]] rifles, suggests that the Kingdom of Gilboa seems to have adopted Smith & Wesson firearms for their military.

Most of the rifles in the series are fitted with EOTech 553 holographic sights. At the time that the show aired (2009), the M&P15 Tactical and its free-floating continuous quad rail were fairly new to the market, making the appearance here the earliest in a film or television series.
 
While most of the firing M&P15 Tactical rifles in the series have 16" barrels, the series also features non-firing rifles which have shorter 14.5" barrels; it's likely that the latter are King Arms S&W MP15 airsoft replicas.
