Thieves Like Us is 1974 crime romance directed by Robert Altman and based on the novel of the same name written by Edward Anderson.
The following weapons were used in the film Thieves Like Us:
Colt Official Police
Bank robbers Elmo "Chicamaw" Mobley (John Schuck) and T.W. "T-Dub" Macefield (Bert Remsen) both use Colt Official Police revolvers throughout the film.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
T-Dub (Bert Remsen) uses a Smith & Wesson Model 10 in the first bank robbery seen in the film.
double-barreled shotgun
Chicamaw (John Schuck) grabs a Double Barreled Shotgun with exposed hammers when two Mississippi lawmen confront him after Bowie's car accident.
Colt Police Positive
Bowie A. Bowers (Keith Carradine) carries a nickel Colt Police Positive with ivory grips. Chicamaw (John Schuck) also uses it when Bowie springs him from the prison farm.
Winchester Model 1892
The guards at the Mississippi State Prison mostly carry Winchester Model 1892 rifles.
Winchester Model 1897 Riot
A guard at the Mississippi State Prison is seen cradling a Winchester Model 1897 shotgun.
Remington Model 870
The Pickens, MS police who arrive at Mattie's motor court in the finale are all armed with anachronistic Remington Model 870 shotguns. They are historically inaccurate since the events portrayed in the film occur in 1936 and the Remington 870 wasn't introduced until 1950.
