At about the same time, rights for the ADP design were sold to Italian company Tanfoglio, that briefly manufactured it as the '''Tanfoglio P-25'''. The pistol was designed by gun designer Alex Du Plessis, and was first produced by the company Aserma in South Africa in 1994. At about the same time, rights for the ADP design were sold to Italian company Tanfoglio, that briefly manufactured it as the Tanfoglio P-25.
