Djimon Hounsou is a Bénin-born actor and former model, but now an American citizen. Djimon first gained acclaim for his role as Cinqué in the 1997 [[Steven Spielberg]] film ''[[Amistad]]'' and would subsequently go on to appear in such films as 2000's ''Gladiator'', ''[[The Island]]'', ''[[Special Forces (2011)|Special Forces]]'' and ''[[Furious 7]]''. In addition, he earned Academy Award nominations for his roles in the films ''In America'' and ''[[Blood Diamond]]''. He also portrayed Korath the Pursuer in the [[MCU]] films ''[[Guardians of the Galaxy]]'' and 2019's ''[[Captain Marvel]]'', a role he returned to voice in the Disney+ animated series ''[[What If...?]]''.

Djimon Hounsou is a Bénin-born actor and former model, but now an American citizen.
