Michael Rooker is an American actor whose well known roles include Merle Dixon in The Walking Dead, and the title character in the film Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. His three decade career includes roles in such films as Cliffhanger, JFK, and Sea of Love. He also frequently collaborates with director James Gunn, appearing in his films Slither, Super (2011) and The Suicide Squad in addition to portraying Yondu Udonta in two Guardians of the Galaxy films, a role he returned to voice in the Disney+ animated series What If...?.
