Sir '''Christopher George Rhodes''' (1914-1964) was an English film and television actor who was awarded the ''Croix de Guerre'' and the United States ''Legion of Merit'' for his World War II service. He was 38 years old when he began his film career and specialized in military types for which he was ideally suited as Chris in Betrayed (1954), General Brauer in Ill Met by Moonlight (1957), a sergeant in  ''[[Dunkirk (1958)]]'' as well as a German artillery officer in ''[[The Guns of Navarone]]'' (1961). Married twice, he died aged 50 at his Blakeney, Norfolk home.

Sir Christopher George Rhodes (1914-1964) was an English film and television actor who was awarded the Croix de Guerre and the United States Legion of Merit for his World War II service. He was 38 years old when he began his film career and specialized in military types for which he was ideally suited as Chris in Betrayed (1954), General Brauer in Ill Met by Moonlight (1957), a sergeant in Dunkirk (1958) as well as a German artillery officer in The Guns of Navarone (1961). Married twice, he died aged 50 at his Blakeney, Norfolk home.
