Under a Stone Sky (Norwegian title Under en steinhimmel, Russian title Pod kamennym nebom) is a 1974 Norwegian-Soviet war movie directed by Knut Andersen and Igor Maslennikov. The story takes place in october 1944 in Finnmark (North Norway) and depicts the saving of the people of the town of Kirkenes by Norwegian Resistance and Soviet forces.
The following weapons were used in the film Under a Stone Sky:
Handguns
Luger P08
German officers are armed with Luger P08 pistols.
Submachine guns
PPSh-41
Most Soviet soldiers are armed with PPSh-41 submachine guns. Hjalmar (Bernhard Ramstad) uses PPSh-41 in the final scene.
MP40
Many German soldiers are seen with MP40 submachine guns. Lt. Kravtsov (Evgeni Leonov), commander of Soviet commando group, also is armed with MP40. Eldar (Kåre Tannvik) and Lyosha Vasiljev (Nikolay Burlyaev) use MP40s in the final scene.
MP38
Several German soldiers are seen with MP38 submachine guns.
Rifles
Karabiner 98k
Some of German soldiers are armed with Karabiner 98k rifles.
Mosin Nagant M1891/30 Rifle
M1891/30 rifles are sometimes seen in hands of Soviet soldiers. Several German soldiers are also armed with Mosin Nagant rifles which is historically correct because the German troops in Norway widely used Beutewaffen (captured weapon).
Machine guns
Degtyaryov DP-28 Light Machine Gun
Th old soldier Grigory Ivanovich (Fyodor Odinokov) carries Degtyaryov DP-28 through the movie. In the final scene Lt. Kravtsov (Evgeni Leonov) takes DP-28 from wounded Grigory Ivanovich and fires it.
Other weapon
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
Lyosha Vasiljev (Nikolay Burlyaev) use a Model 24 Stielhandgranate to blow up German wagon loaded with explosives.
