I think it is actually a British [[Vickers]] with a ribbed jacket. Note that the top of the supports for the spade grips are level with the top of the receiver as opposed to on the maxim where they are further down, and the spring housing on the side of the weapon has the bulge going downwards at the rear rather than upwards like on the Maxim. --[[User:Commando552|commando552]] 03:12, 20 June 2012 (CDT)

Might the Mausers be M1903 Springfields? --Funkychinaman 08:49, 19 June 2012 (CDT)

In theory, yes. In smaller quantities they get there over Cuba. But Mauser clearly prevailed.[1]

I'm not disputing the historical aspect of it, I'm just saying in the movie. Because that looks like a Springfield. --Funkychinaman 15:26, 19 June 2012 (CDT) As for the movie, you're right! It's true.--Pandolfini 15:59, 19 June 2012 (CDT)

I hate to ask this but could we possibly have the page written in English? Not Spanglish or whatever-the-hell-this-is? Thank you. If you want me to do it, I will. :) Googlish is. Yes, do you that. Thx.--Pandolfini 16:29, 19 June 2012 (CDT)
