Sokolovo is Czechoslovak World War II film directed by Otakar Vávra, filmed in 1975. The film depicts the events in occupied Czechoslovakia after the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich and also parallel to the formation of the Czechoslovak foreign troops in the USSR. The movie culminates in the Battle of Sokolovo, the first time a foreign military unit, in this case the First Czechoslovak Independent Field Battalion, fought alongside the Soviet Red Army.
