You know how the Doctor's sonic screwdriver can bind metal, as well as manipulate technology?  Wouldn't it be cool if one time, the Doctor used his sonic screwdriver to dead-lock a gun's firing pin to the bolt, so it couldn't fire?  [[User:Jeddostotle7|Jeddostotle7]] 12:09, 31 March 2012 (PST)

I've always wondered why the Doctor never did that.  The closest was when he used it to disable the Silurians' energy based weapons in  ''Cold Blood''.  Would it be simple to do?

There isn't any SCAR in Doctor Who, i think it was a UMP9 i saw instead. How should BBC get ahold of a FN SCAR anyway and in 2005! On the other hand, how should a group of East Timorese Rebels get an F2000. - Flying Dane

River's futuristic pistol

Could somebody add this http://i.imgur.com/FpH64.jpg.

No, because it's not built around a real firearm or a realistic imitation one. The Wierd It 06:56, 31 December 2011 (CST)

Gun Law

I think the comment about the illegality of full auto weapons for British police is a bit redundant, since UK gun law seems to have gone out the window in the series when you have security guards with full auto G-36s. The Wierd It 22:24, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Not really since the Van Statton security guards are in Arizona, and major corporations, especially Adipose, don't really seem to care about laws, firearm related or otherwise.24.15.51.1

FN Minime

It was that during planet of the ood there was a security guard firing a Fn Minime with an elcan optical sight, But wouldnt that make it a C9? It's just that the C9 is a Canadian built Minime and with a Elcan optical sight.

Depends on the front sight. If it's open then it's a C9, otherwise it's a Mk1 Minimi/L108A1.The Wierd It 17:46, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

You guys are fast

I came here on the off chance someone would have identified the revolvers in the latest trailer. And low and behold there they are. Keep up the great work! If you need clearer pictures there are some here, http://io9.com/5718601/shot+by+shot-analysis-of-the-new-doctor-who-trailer/.

Unknown Weapons

I can't seem to identify the weapons used by the men in the Torchwood Estate shooting at the werewolf, in the episode Tooth and Claw. I can see some double barrel shotguns and some unknown rifles but i am not sure what else is there. There is also a weapon in Utopia that looks like a Dragunov SVD but has a short barrel.User:The Shootist 3:05, 5 April 2011

If you mean This gun then it looks like it's just a regular AK-47 pattern rifle with a scope. The Wierd It 12:59, 23 April 2011 (CDT)

Thanks! I thought the butt stock was a bit odd for an AK-47. Also were M-16s used in Day of the Moon. A Shootist

Wierd sound effects

Did anyone else notice the crappy sound effects from the first episode of series 6? The revolvers used by the Secret Service guys made sounds like shotguns pumping when they turned to aim --Taurus96 15:58, 24 April 2011 (CDT).

they did the same in the End of Time. doing the cock of hammer sounds too many times dose stand out like a sore thum. but it didn't ruined the whole scenes in the white house.

Unknown Revolver

This is in the episode "The Unicorn and The Wasp," can't place it. Also couldn't place the general's revolver in the episode prior.

River's Revolver

I am fairly certain that the single action revolver used by River Song in The Impossible Astronaut is a Ruger New Vaquero. Anyone else have an opinion? --Westernman1987 22:36, 24 April 2011 (CDT)

The Sound of Drums

I am trying to find out what model of weapon is used by the snipers that Miss Dexter (Elize du Toit) orders to open fire on Martha's car. This happens around 18 minutes in. While this is a short scene, I'd like to ask if anyone could identify their rifles (they seem automatic to me).

This is mostly a question I ask out of curiosity. DReifGalaxyM31 19:36, 28 April 2011 (CDT)

Looks like regular CO-19 officers armed with a mix of G-36C's and K's. No snipers. The Wierd It 05:28, 29 April 2011 (CDT)

Removed from "unidentified revolver"

It looked like either a Colt Python or a Smith & Wesson Model 686 --Taurus96 15:54, 24 April 2011 (CDT).

I found this but the lighting is making identifying the gun very hard http://www.bleedingcool.com/wp-content/uploads//2011/04/doc2.jpg

Unknown rifle

Can anyone identify the rifles used by the soldier in A Good Man Goes to War?

Sonic Screwdriver = firing pin lock?

A revolver in "Tooth and Claw"

Captain Reynolds' revolver in "Tooth and Claw" isn't a Webley Bulldog. It looks more like some version of Adams or Beaumont-Adams revolvers. Greg-Z (talk) 03:14, 18 March 2015 (EDT)
