I was on the fence on this one. But doesn't "Filipino" refer to more than just the people? A few months ago, I swapped out "Belgium Produced" for "Belgian Produced," so the intention was to follow that. I'll dig around a bit. Great move making the redirect page with the PAL title of Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies. I took your lead and did the same for the other AC game articles here (with the exception of AC6, since it has the same title in North America and PAL regions). Way to stay heads-up, wish I had thought of that myself! Orca1 9904 04:25, 10 March 2011 (MSK)
Could you please reupload the screenshots you had previously uploaded for Agents of SHIELD with new filenames?  Comparing screenshots, I would prefer to use yours than the ones that are currently up (yours appear to be sharper, despite the image size). Please rename your screenshots with the season and episode numbers before reuploading, such as for Season 1 Episode 1, you could put "MAOSS1E01 xxx".  That way, it's easier to keep track of what episode the screenshots are from. I'll delete your previous screenshots once you've done these.  Thanks.  --Ben41 (talk) 14:34, 3 October 2013 (EDT)

I appreciate all the extra work you've done on Ultimate Force. I started the page a long time ago when I was new to IMFDB, and in retrospect, there's a lot of stuff I would have done differently (like not grouping all of the AK variants under one entry for "AK-47 variants", for instance). It's good to see someone's revamping it, because I haven't had time myself.
Zastava M70 in 'A Dangerous Man'
That being said, some suggestions:
::Thanks a lot! Believe it or not but I completely understand what you mean, life on IMFDB is so much easier now. As to the squarer shape of the Zastava M70 gas tube, I did some 'googling' and now I see what you mean. I found some images (folding sight DOWN and folding sight UP) that kind of say it all. Guess I will contact the website and ask permission to use on IMFDB, on the 'Talk' section for the AK-47 page. Thanks as usual for your expert comments, PeeWee055 (talk) 04:55, 14 October 2013 (EDT)

*Please do make sure that you are adding the gun photos, gun page links, and descriptions of the weapons' use (and by which characters). When Excalibur did some additional work on the page a few years back, he was a bit lazy about adding that stuff.
Page locked for "Team America: World Police"
*Since I and Excalibur last worked on the page, IMFDB has a new policy of dividing up TV shows with lots of weapons by season (i.e. 24 and Stargate: SG-1). The Ultimate Force page is getting to be really, really long, so you might want to consider doing the same thing. Since you (wisely) labeled all of your screenshots according to the episode, it should be pretty easy to do this. (I can help you with that, if you want.)
Thanks for the suggestion, I think that was the case. I remember that when I put up the page I was in a bit of a hurry so I can imagine that to have happened. Case closed and 'thakns so mmcuh'! - PeeWee055 (talk) 11:06, 21 October 2013 (EDT)

*You might want to group weapons of the same manufacturer near to each other (i.e. SIG P225 and P228 both appear way below SIG P226, which is near the top of the page).
File Redirect
*Your screenshots show that the "Colt CAR-15" with Cobray CM203 that is used by Henno and several other characters in Seasons 3 and 4 has a "Stowaway" pistol grip, which means that it's not a Colt but rather a 10" barrel Olympic Arms K3B carbine fitted with a fake XM177 flash hider. -MT2008 18:21, 20 July 2011 (CDT)

Re: Countdown (Lichnyy nomer)
movie guns
Thanks for your comments, I believe you’re quite right on the pistol being a Skif Anics A-3000. Checked with other screenshots and we have a 100% match. As to your suggestion for the 2nd gun being a PDT-9T Esaul, I respectfully disagree somewhat. Judging by the typical ‘hooked’ front sight, I think it’s more likely to be a Kedr PP-91 / Klin PP-9. I just happened to notice this morning that these guns make an appearance in the movie so it’s probably the same prop. Thanks again, PeeWee055 (talk) 07:00, 19 November 2013 (EST)
beats me.  Remember that movie arsenals have tons of franken guns.  We have a pile of Bushmaster or Colt or (fill in the blank) full auto papered lowers and auto sears and another pile of barreled uppers.  Sometimes the gun is a complete gun, but most of the time, it is built up from parts (and usually from different manufacturers).  The pics, I just grabbed what looked right at the time from the gun rack. I would one day like to go back and make sure that each lower is properly mated to the right upper for historical purposes.  Also even though we use COLT as the standard for IMFDB when talking about the various model types, there are TONS of receivers built by 3rd party manufacturers.  I know of at least three makes in inventory from companies that went out of business in the 1980s. And we all know the many makers today.  I need to go back sometime and fix the pics for the samples (try to make extra sure that all the parts are from the right lineage), but that takes time. It IS one of the many things on my list to do when I have time.  But as per IMFDB, they are still good for our site, only in that they are (a) movie blank adapted weapons which have been used in movies and TV and (b) at least once or at the time they were photographed, they were used to represent that model type.  I know post 1986 most of the AR type receivers built were A2 style with the strengthening bits.  The only real A1 lowers were on guns purchased prior to the release of the A2.   I slapped a ton of different colt Uppers on whatever lower was available at the time.  Usually trying to get it as close as I could. The custom build ups were the most time consuming though. Hope this helps.  MoviePropMaster2008 02:58, 5 August 2011 (CDT)
:Thanks for your comments but I stick with this being a real Kedr PP-91 / Klin PP-9. Reasons are that (a) it’s never seen fired so just for show and (b) the credits show that this movie was heavily supported by the Russian authorities and it shows lots of real Russian Sukhoi fighter jets, real Mil Mi-24 helicopters so I can imagine the Russian armed forces kindly supported a few guns as well for demo purpose to make the movie look cool, PeeWee055 (talk) 08:21, 20 November 2013 (EST)
::Okay, you da man.  I did a quick check on one of the guns and it WAS a non-colt lower that was a pre-86 transferable full auto conversion. Your eagle eyes are keeping me honest! ;) LOL.  I will try to mate a real Colt A1 lower to a Colt A1 upper and be sure it's a Colt.  Back in the day when I first started, most of IMFDB's gun pics were horrible airsoft photos, the veteran members & mods can attest to that.  I was just rushing to get real movie armory weapons as soon as possible.  But I really should not have a mixed and match Hollywood built up gun when there are plenty of 100% complete guns out there.  I just grabbed what was convenient on the rack to photograph it.  Thanks to YOU, though, I will try to get 100% correct pics to replace the sample pics for the M16 page.  Now I notice weird little things that I missed (for one, the old style rear sling swivel should not be on any of the post XM16E1 guns, etc.)  I just wanted to thank you again for your sharp vision.  It makes us more accurate when members catch things like that :D  best regards MoviePropMaster2008 16:16, 6 September 2011 (CDT)

Maxim 1910/30 - Vickers MK1 in 'Attack on Leningrad'
Symbols
Thanks for your comment, I think you're quite right. I simply assumed that because the movie was taking place in Russia, it would be a Russian Maxim, but upon closer inspection it does indeed look like a Vickers MK1. It's probably come off one of the Allied support shipment that went through Murmansk harbour in the early years of WWII.
So let me get this straight, this just about symbols!? You don't need to revert my edits just cuz of that, you should instead, if you don't like it, you petty guys edit it in another way (remove "×" and put "x" and leave my edits), this only shows how lazy admins are. I don't know how do you do the "×" sign on U.S. keyboard, but on my typeboard, I just simply type it. I suggest you (or any other admin) revert Funkychinaman's revision and bring it back on mine, then I'll edit as you like it (since none of you wants). == Remington 700 ==
To say the least, automatic crossbow discussion was not only a case of doing before thinking and mindless arguing, but also it was pretty much offensive, especially for you. I really feel like I should say sorry for it. And I'm actually upper intermediate in English (I have some minor grammar problems but I'm well in a few other things and have a good vocabulary) - my  writing style just degraded a little bit, because I was tired and feeling not that well yesterday so I really wrote it all wrong, especially putting Van Helsing in it. I should have researched for real cases well, at the very least. So I completely deserved the ban, Evil Tim put on me last evening. I have used it productively, though: today I just was roaming through "unidentified" category, identified quite a few things (plus a few other minor faults) and were using MS Word to write what I will upload now. I really hope to be more valuable for this site. Thanks. --Kloga (talk) 19:52, 18 December 2013 (EST)

GAU-8
Andrey Karchikyan (talk) 22:22, 8 January 2014 (MSK)

Much as I'm kinda fond of that full-length shot of the GAU-8, it's not as good for a page image; it isn't as widely linked-to as the high-contrast version, and that version is cropped to focus more on the end of the gun / ammo drum rig you're actually likely to be trying to ID. It's a better image, that's why I put the other one on the talk page. Evil Tim 19:21, 19 October 2011 (CDT)
Hey
:I don't know about that; the gun isn't "obscured" by the feed mechanism since you're very unlikely to see it without that mechanism; if anything, the one with the helmet is an inferior picture since it doesn't show a part of the gun it's always attached to if it's actually shown working. The drum isn't really needed since, well, it's a drum; it's not that distinctive and likely to be fictionalised if the weapon is shown in a non-standard mounting anyway. I'm trying to remember, but I'm sure I've seen GAU-8s in games which aren't attached to A-10s. I'd keep both; the one with the helmet is fine if it's shown on an A-10, the other is useful for ID'ing it if it's shown outside the aircraft. Evil Tim 05:12, 20 October 2011 (CDT)
Hey, I got a question: I heard that in real life, open bolt weapons do not need to be cocked after reloading an empty magazine (unless the trigger was held down after emptying the mag). Is it true for ALL open-bolt weapons? (including some like AA-12, MG3, M60, Thompson, etc)?<br>Also, the grenade launchers have a timer fuse to prevent it from exploding at short range, but is it also the case for the rocket launchers? (I heard that too). --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 11:36, 11 January 2014 (EST)

help with M16s
Hey Commando, thanks for the help identifying the guns on the Heroes pages. I also have a favor to ask, I have this on rifle in Season 4 that needs identifying in order to complete the page. It's on Talk:Heroes - Season 4, Ben41 suggests it might be a Steyr SSG 69, do you think you could take a look and give me your opinion since the both of you helped me so many times before? Thanks in advance?--Alienqueen11 (talk) 00:08, 30 January 2014 (EST)
So are you volunteering to be my detail check man? ;)  I need someone who knows a lot more about M16s than I do to go one step further.  Also my own knowledge has grown since I joined this site, because of the attention to detail.  Of course there is the conundrum that many so called variants are never really seen in movies, the more common version will always be the norm. Case in point: the preponderance of C&C HK94s in Hollywood.  And even those registered SMGs still exist, but they've been updated with correct trigger packs and barrels.  Anyway, thanks for the research!  It is always appreciated.  I've struggled with the research element in the past.  The easiest thing for me to do is to actually GET the gun and photograph it.  Please let me know if you're interested in helping me with other M16 identifications. :)  best regards. == The Hooligan Wars ==

But in all seriousness, I'm 98.9% sure. The Rk 62's production numbers were closer to half a million (some sources say they're still produced as we speak), as it was adopted by our armed forces (it was designed with the Nordic climate in mind). Lots of (civilian/semi-auto only) Rk 62s were also exported. The M76 was later designed to be even more robust, but our armed forces (in all their glory) desided NOT to fully replace the M76s, as they didn't feel the need for it. (Sort of like what happened to FN SCAR as the replacement for AR-15 in your armed forces.) Of course some of the M76s were adopted, but in far smaller numbers (like what happened to HK416). It was only produced for about ten years, with smaller production numbers, and most of them were shipped overseas.
Thanks for your remarks about the G36C on The Hooligan Wars. I was wondering about the vent holes myself but before I could post a question, you kindly answered. One more thing, with you being from the UK, can you confirm that 'police officers' is a correct description for the UK law enforcement officers that are in the movie (esp. in the images for 'unidentified pistol' and the 'G36' variants)? I was tempted to say something like 'SWAT' but don't want to do so until more details are confirmed. Thanks for letting me know, PeeWee055 (talk) 12:37, 1 April 2014 (EDT)

In America, the M76 could be more common, as half of the produced version were .223s (the more common/ preferred round in the US, I think?). But the Rk 62 was produced for over 50 years in huge numbers (also offered in .223 in export)

watermarks in Sailor Moon
The Rk 62 above is a very old model. The handguard with the small holes in it means that it has day sights.
I answered about episode's number and watermarks on disscussion page. Pyramid Silent (talk) 12:48, 26 May 2014 (EDT)

After criticism (from Mihali Kalashnikov himself) the rifle was changed to have tritium night sights. The basic model of the Rk 62 was also changed to have plastic furniture (for ease of production), and if an Rk 62 has the modernized handguard (seen below:) it has the tritium sights. Some Rk 62 were still manufactured with the daysight/holed handguard, but as our winters are very, very dark, they figured "what the hell" and scrapped it in mid 1980s.

Great shot.  But do you know WHEN it was made? and who got it?  It would help us ID guns that were used years earlier.  Right now, guns like the Draco are place holders for what we suspect are customized AIRs (which were 5.56) and converted to 7.62x39mm but this would be more correct.  But if it came out after the movies in question, then a customized movie armorer gun was used.  Thanks for the AK help.  We're slowly but surely filling in the historical gaps on guns. a long time ago you and I spoke about the SL8.  Well, You have an eagle eye.  One of the problems with pics I take is that they are definitely MOVIE GUNS, not perfect examples of the real world guns.  Many times armorers update or 'fake' new models by making modifications for the projects (heck, if the producers or directors don't notice, then why not?).  That is why I want to swap out a bunch of the mix and match gun pics I shot for the M16 series and some of the FN FAL series with examples that have all the correct items on them.  But you know well, that we mix and match ALL the time.  I'm not sure if that's a bad thing, since IMFDB IS a chronicle of guns in movies, not 'guns of the world'.  Though it would probably be a good thing to have a perfect example of the 100% spot on version of the 'real world' version of the gun.  On your eagle eye spotting of issues with the SL8.  The scope rail IS a replacement one from an airsoft kit.  The armorer whose gun I photographed, only recently mentioned that the original gun (When he acquire it) had different sights on it so he swapped out the long scope rail from his airsoft gun (for some sort of film, the title of which I don't know) and put it on the real gun.  The scope rails are metal so I certainly could not tell.  If I can, I can try to get a 100% real world version of that weapon in a pic, though that mockup did appear in 'something' already, I'm not sure what though.  Thanks and best regards for your amazing eye for details. It's not an issue since your work can be merged easily into a generic page, but guns which are not real (but not part of the fictional guns section) are not considered worthy of their own pages.  Previously we did not have any entries in the 'theatrical blank' fire only weapons, and only mentioned them in the pages that they appeared in.  Even then, they usually had a spot in the REAL firearm page, upon which they were based. As this one and a few others are cropping up, we will have to created a new 'Blank fire only guns" page which are designed from the ground up to not be a live firearm, but also is not a copy of an existing firearm design.   This and a few others fall into this category. Again, your nice work won't be lost but we should group all of the 'custom design or hybrid' blank fire only guns into one page, just like we did with the 'non-guns' (i.e. the flash paper guns). :)  Thanks.  MoviePropMaster2008 21:04, 3 January 2012 (CST)

MG42 page
this one Olympic 6 Blank Firing Revolver is a generic revolver design, not based on any LIVE weapon that we can determine.  There will be MORE, I can guarantee that.  So far 90% of the blank only guns are direct and pretty good copies of actual live gun designs and thus belong at the bottom of those pages.  But we do need a page for the weird, nondescript or hybrid guns like which I am sure will start appearing in some productions.  They call it an "uzi", but to include it on the actual UZI page is an insult to the Uzi guns :D.  Be sure to present the page as for those 'theatrical guns' which fire proprietary blanks only.  What is interesting is that only recently the ATF and Customs are allowing import of 'front fire' blank guns.  Previously only the fully blocked barrels and guns which flash only upwards were allowed.  I think these guns fire 'backwards' like the old blow back toy guns from Japan but I have not seen one to inspect it's interior mechanism. But also, I have noticed that the Brügger & Thomet company is now in fact named “B&T AG”. The contacts page on the official site uses the name “B&T AG”; also some sources like this one mention that the B&T AG is “formerly known” as “Brügger & Thomet”. So the company may have been renamed some time ago, and the page/references may require updating as well... but I wouldn't dare to dive into mass-imfdb-editing that much :)

Hey. So question for ya. How do you know that the gun used in CSI: NY - Season 7 is the MP5K instead of the MP5K-PDW? I'm not questioning your edit, I always defer to the experts here... just trying to understand and further my knowledge. When I look at these two images (which are taken from the Heckler & Koch MP5 page by the way)  (, ) the only difference I see is the stock... Also, based on the description provide for the Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW on its page, this is the main difference between the two... Any way, as I said, not trying to argue with you, just want to learn. :-) --Zackmann08 14:17, 22 February 2012 (CST)

Sorry for not getting back to you until several months later. I am pretty sure I saw the hooded and not hooded sights of Norincos and AKs. I know a lot about guns but mostly handguns so I did my best. I'm really bad at screenshots, but I'll try. If you have Netflix, Archangel is streaming. The AK/Norincos can be found in part three. Hi, I recently edited the Black Ops page, and since you were involved with the GAU-5A/A part I thought I'd let you know, in case there's any issues, since no exact clarification has been provided when I asked about it on the talk page (I should have probably asked you before making the edit, but well... better late than never). --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 07:05, 28 March 2018 (EDT)
:Yeah, it was just to make sure whether it is or isn't actually a GAU-5A/A albeit customized with a flash hider and bolted on rail (as the latter appears to have been done on AR-15s in the late 80s and early 90s, as I mentioned in the talk page). As for the AK, you're right too, it's much more complex than I thought, and I kinda missed some of the details that you mentioned (and in response to what you said about the front sight, it does have an AKM-type sight). With those details, I see why the WASR was mentioned, even though it still lacks some of the in-game features. Btw as you're implying that the front sight of the current production AK-74 is different from that of the AKM, it's mainly due to the bayonet lug underneath it, right? Anyway, I'll leave the changes on the page up to you (or I can do them myself if you want). --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 13:07, 28 March 2018 (EDT)

Photoshopped AR-15 images
Hello Commando552. I believe that some of the images you have uploaded to the M16 page are photoshopped images; for example, these two images below differ only by the length of the barrel, and the rest of the gun is completely identical, suggesting that one of them is a photoshopped image. However, the photoshopped images are not clearly marked as being photoshopped images, which can mislead IMFDB users into believing that the photoshopped guns are real guns. Would you kindly mark out all the photoshopped images on the M16 page with a "Photoshopped" marking in their image captions?

Additionally, do you know any other images on the M16 page uploaded by other users that are photoshopped images? --Wuzh (talk) 23:27, 27 June 2020 (EDT)

Even though "Possibly Photoshopped" is removed because I agree with your point that they look dumb, I still do think it is useful to mark out photoshops; the fact that many companies use photoshopped gun images is more reason that we should do better than them and distinguish between real and edited gun images. The companies are for-profit, but IMFDB is all about being educational and informative. Identifying photoshopped images (including photoshopped official gun images) fits in with our aim to educate and inform, and hopefully would make our readers think more critically about gun images. --Wuzh (talk) 01:30, 4 July 2020 (EDT)

Demonym

I was on the fence on this one. But doesn't "Filipino" refer to more than just the people? A few months ago, I swapped out "Belgium Produced" for "Belgian Produced," so the intention was to follow that. I'll dig around a bit. (Some of the help desk guys at work are in the Philippines, I guess I could just ask them the next time I call.) --Funkychinaman (talk) 08:52, 2 October 2013 (EDT)

I just changed it. I'm trying to get rid of the -Produced/Filmed categories and replace them with just -Produced since the /Filmed part is a bit misleading. --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:14, 2 October 2013 (EDT)

Agents of SHIELD screenshots

Zastava M70 in 'A Dangerous Man'

Thanks a lot! Re: Countdown (Lichnyy nomer)

Thanks for your comments but I stick with this being a real Kedr PP-91 / Klin PP-9.

Symbols

So let me get this straight, this just about symbols!? You don't need to revert my edits just cuz of that, you should instead, if you don't like it, you petty guys edit it in another way (remove "×" and put "x" and leave my edits), this only shows how lazy admins are. I don't know how do you do the "×" sign on U.S. keyboard, but on my typeboard, I just simply type it. I suggest you (or any other admin) revert Funkychinaman's revision and bring it back on mine, then I'll edit as you like it (since none of you wants). Basically, sorry.

Hey

Hey, I got a question: I heard that in real life, open bolt weapons do not need to be cocked after reloading an empty magazine (unless the trigger was held down after emptying the mag). Is it true for ALL open-bolt weapons? (including some like AA-12, MG3, M60, Thompson, etc)?
Also, the grenade launchers have a timer fuse to prevent it from exploding at short range, but is it also the case for the rocket launchers? (I heard that too). --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 11:36, 11 January 2014 (EST)

The Black Hawks seen in the film were part of the 160th SOAR (Special Operations Aviation Regiment), which is part of the US Army. Also, as stated in the discussion section, the GAU-17 is the USAF designation. --Ben41 (talk) 20:03, 4 February 2014 (EST)

The Hooligan Wars

Thanks for the info, I corrected the page accordingly. Cheers, PeeWee055 (talk) 05:28, 2 April 2014 (EDT)

One more flare pistol

Sorry to disturb you, but as you are an expert in flare guns, maybe you can help with one more item? For a long time I cannot identify a flare pistol in Naples... Serenade for Caliber 9. It looks quite typical for flare guns but the protrusions below the barrel doesn't match any model that I could find. Thanks in advance! Greg-Z (talk) 02:18, 23 July 2014 (EDT)

Riva Esterina Black Widow

I'm confused a little. While the gun page says that Black Widow appeared in 1982, it is seen in 1972 film. Greg-Z (talk) 12:00, 28 August 2014 (EDT)

I guess that 1982 is a year of manufacturing of the particular revolver that they sell on this site. Greg-Z (talk) 12:29, 28 August 2014 (EDT)

Aspect ratios

I think 4:3 is the only aspect ratio fit for 500px. 16:9 is the standard HDTV ratio. --Funkychinaman (talk) 13:08, 19 September 2014 (EDT)

I don't necessarily disagree, I just think we should append the Style Guide to say that then. I don't want to confuse new users by giving them information that conflcits with the guides. --Funkychinaman (talk) 14:15, 19 September 2014 (EDT)
I distinctly remember posting a wikipedia link to all the different aspect ratios, maybe it was for the screencapping guide. I was in favor of 700 for 2.4:1, but I think Ben was against it. And it would be a huge undertaking to fix all the existing pages. --Funkychinaman (talk) 14:55, 19 September 2014 (EDT)
Here it is: "Thumbnails of "full-screen" (4x3 ratio) screencaps should be set at 500 pixels, thumbnails for "widescreen" screencaps (1.66:1, 16:9, 1:85:1, 2.35:1) screencaps should be set to 600 pixels. Lower quality screencaps, from unrestored films, VHS copies or those filmed in 16mm may have thumbnails set to 400px. For reference, please see here" (This was the link to this. --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:16, 19 September 2014 (EDT)

Using an IMFDB Picture on Wikipedia

Hey, Commando552. I was wondering how to properly cite IMFDB when uploading an image to Wikipedia. --L.J. Gibbs (talk) 12:52, 28 September 2014 (EDT)

more info on the SL8

a long time ago you and I spoke about the SL8. MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 17:07, 30 October 2014 (EDT)

Work in progress

I added a brand, but I do not see much sense. I do not have a movie yet, and if it had someone else and could finish, it finishes not, because he would think that just working on it! It is better if it's a challenge - so that others could join in the work.--Pandolfini (talk) 02:26, 24 July 2015 (EDT) I'll give you an example of another one, pal. Even in the days of communist rule I got on VHS movie Enemy with my favorite Tia Carrere in main role. It was about the third copy - the colors fell out and the outlines were unclear. For 25 years this movie not on DVD in Czech Republic! But in the US yes, and so too in Germany! On the net is a lot of people what he can for ridiculous a few euros to buy and do screens. I therefore suggested a title and waited, waited - in vain! How possible it? --Pandolfini (talk) 12:38, 24 July 2015 (EDT) USA - http://mysteryfile.com/blog/?p=968 Germany - https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/movie/detail/-/art/enemy-fatal-mission/hnum/5294086

MG42 page

Hi there, you seem to be online so allow me to ask your help on what I think is a relatively simple matter. On the MG42 page, I added an Zastava M53 section and split the MG42 text to make it better readable. When I now view the MG42 page on a laptop, the text on top about the MG42 does not line up nicely anymopre to the right. Any idea what might be wrong? Thanks in advance, PeeWee055 (talk) 06:34, 2 November 2015 (EST)

Thanks for your quick response, please find below a screenprint of what I see when I open the MG42 page. Maybe it's nothing, but since it's one of the most prominent pages on IMFDB, I thought I'd better check with an admin. While we're at it, 'Zastava M53' does not show up in search results (like CETME Ameli), any idea why? I created the Zastava M53 section about 30 minutes ago, maybe there's a delay in these matters? - PeeWee055 (talk) 07:00, 2 November 2015 (EST)

Brügger & Thomet VP9

Hello, Commando552. Thanks for your attention and spotting/linking my mention of Brügger & Thomet VP9! I haven't noticed it is already on imfdb. Also, my sources mentioned the pistol is single-shot only, and only after your correction I was able to confirm it indeed has a 5 rounds magazine.

But also, I have noticed that the Brügger & Thomet company is now in fact named “B&T AG”. The contacts page on the official site uses the name “B&T AG”; also some sources like this one mention that the B&T AG is “formerly known” as “Brügger & Thomet”. So the company may have been renamed some time ago, and the page/references may require updating as well... but I wouldn't dare to dive into mass-imfdb-editing that much :) amyodov (talk) 16:37, 16 February 2016 (EST)

I thought it was optional cause the first M203 pic didn't have the clamp on the front end of it and I thought M16s don't use it and the clamp's added for carbines. Pardon my ignorance, though I enjoy learning more about these systems when I do goof. Mr. Wolf (talk) 19:10, 26 April 2016 (EDT)

BO edit

Hi, I recently edited the Black Ops page, and since you were involved with the GAU-5A/A part I thought I'd let you know, in case there's any issues, since no exact clarification has been provided when I asked about it on the talk page (I should have probably asked you before making the edit, but well... better late than never). --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 07:05, 28 March 2018 (EDT)

Yeah, it was just to make sure whether it is or isn't actually a GAU-5A/A albeit customized with a flash hider and bolted on rail (as the latter appears to have been done on AR-15s in the late 80s and early 90s, as I mentioned in the talk page).

Since I can't edit your sandbox page, I'd figure I should probably just let you know: you've incorrectly tagged your sandbox as being in the "Gun", "Grenade Launcher", and "UBGL" categories; this's caused it to appear in several weapon lists where it really doesn't belong.
