I'm into a bit more than just handguns. I can answer a lot of questions about pistol safety, handling, and I can give instructions on the take down of MANY handguns. Ask me about the take down on SIGs, Berettas, Glocks, Walthers, and more!
My Top 5 Handguns
I know more about handguns than any other type of gun.
If you are interested in concealed carry, I can give you advice on that too.

Besides gun advice, I can suggest some good movies too.

Crap happens. I don't care if your town never has any crime. My town doesn't even have any permanent homocide detectives. But people get jumped everywhere. Every law-abiding citizen has the ability to carry protection with legal permission.

What a Carry Gun Should be
3:Colt Single Action Army
* Relatively lightweight; a good gun will use its weight to help keep recoil down (a reason why I like steel pistols). Weight should not be the biggest factor in carry. Carry is not supposed to be comfortable. It is supposed to be comforting.

*Depending on the season, gun size is a factor. I know several people that carry subcompacts year round because 1) they love that gun, 2) they want carry to be as comfortable as possible. For summer, you  want it small. Kahr Arms makes many guns under 6". Plenty small enough for summer carry.
2:SIG-Sauer P220 pistol series

*A carry gun should be powerful. A .32 will do the job. If you don't follow suit with Bruce Willis and blow 50 rounds through a table, vent, garbage truck door etc., you can aim for the head, and I would not want to get shot with anything. I'm sure the ba guys don't care if it's a .22LR, or a .50 Action Express, they don't want to get shot. Hollow points help with rounds like the .380. Hollow point rounds double the stopping power of a bullet. Note: The Walther PPK/S and the PPK heve some reliability issues with hollow points.
1:M1911A1 ( I like all 1911 handguns except for the retarded polymer one by Rock River Arms)

*A Glock 17 holds 17 9mm rounds. Last time I checked, we weren't Sylvester Stallone. We don't need that much as a carry gun. Say a team of four people raid the Kroger's down the road. You have a SIG-Sauer P232 in .380. You have seven in the mag, one in the chamber. Problemo solved. You have room for being inacurate in some shots. 50% of your ammo is left if you don't miss. Not to mention a backup mag. This is why we don't need to carry big guns. You can protect yourself with a 5 round Smith.

*Make sure you go out to the range and practice. Wait out the suggested break in period before trusting your life with this gun.

4) Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Perfect for recoil shy rookies who want their gun to be small and pack a punch.
5)Smith & Wesson 3913 A reliable, slim, and compact 9mm. It would be number 1 for me but it is no longer prouced so I won't tell you to carry a gun  you might not be able to find.

4) Ruger LCP The .380 is more than adequate for Carry if you ask me but this little Ruger is lightweight an micro compact. This lens to an easy-to-carry pocket, IWB, or OWB gun.
3) Glock 19 A great starter gun. If you want to go smaller check out the G26.

3) Glock 19 This is one of the most popular guns availible today because it can be a carry gun, or a home-defence gun.
2) SIG-Sauer P238 The safety may take some training to get used to but practice makes perfect. Available in .380 but a new version (P938) is a 9mm.

2) Beretta Nano At .90 in wide and 5.63 in long, this is a perfect 9mm carry gun that is easy to carry year round.
1) Whatever works for you the best. You don't need a full-size M1911A1 so take your time and find out what fits your needs.

A Little Something I Found On the Internet...
Should 16 Blocks have Kept the Alternate Ending?
My 3rd favorite movie is the action thriller 16 Blocks about a lazy cop (Bruce Willis) who has a change of heart and goes out of his way to help a reluctant witness (Mos Def) get to a courthouse in the Big Apple by 10:00 so he can testify against 6 corrupt detectives. But the detectives won't go down without a fight so with the whole city against them they begin the 16 block trek to the courthouse.

You check under your bed for the bogeyman.
The remainder of this section contains spoilers.....

The bogeyman checks under his bed for Chuck Norris.
The normal ending has Det. Mosely going off to jail and then getting a cake from Eddie for his birthday as he realizes that people can change. Very emoional and extremley good. However in the alternate ending, Mosely is shot in the courthouse and uses ghe last of his strength to press play on the recorder condemming the corrupt detectives. Then on Moseley's birthday Eddie sends a cake and a letter to Moseley's sister.

Chuck Norris checks under his bed for FPSRussia.
According to me, the alternate ending was a much more emotional way to end the movie and a way to show how much Eddie and Mosely changed and became good people in the end because Mosely gave his life to stop 5 other cops from being corrupt. Thats just my 2 cents.

FPSRussia checks under his bed for Hicok45.

You know it's true.

Movie Review for Collateral
The first page I tried really hard at creating is Archangel. There are no screenshotsso if anyone has this can they please help me out. I do not on the DVD but I saw it on Netflix.
Collateral has to be the most underrated Tom Cruise movie ever. A friend suggested it to me. I rented it (thank you Netflix) and had very low expectations. Don't get me wrong, Tom Cruise is a good actor and I enjoy the Mission Impossible series, but that is what I saw him as. A John Woo style James Bond. Collateral stunned me with Tom Cruise starring as Vincent, a hitman for hire. Seeing Tom go from all American action hero to cold blooded gun for hire was a big switch up for me. But Cruise pulled it off. He was a likeable charecter because of what his acting past was, and in the movie Max (Jamie Foxx) has several small talk conversations with him like it was any other night. The rich back story Vincent's charecter had was amazing. Vincent says his dad died. Max asks how. Vincent says he killed him then says he is joking. His dad died from a liver failure. Early in the movie, Vincent says he didn't kill a man, "the bullets and the fall did". Say Vincent stabbed his dad in the liver. Now you see the backstory coming together. The Cyotes in Koreatown scene also showed some of Vincent's past. He looks like he is having a flashback when he sees the cyotes. Did something happen hen he was young with cyotes? Is that what screwed up his head? Also notice how Vincent is dressed in gray and the resemblence between him and the cyotes. These little details blew my mind and improved the movie overall. Just in case you are wondering, I am not an English teacher who is trying to get you to find all of the "foreshadowing" and stuff. The best part of the movie is (SPOILER) after the Club Fever shootout to the end of the movie when the credits finally say "Collateral". IMDB users give it a 7.7 out of 10. I give it a 500 out of 10.

Thank you Tom Cruise, Jamie Foxx, and Micheal Mann for creating the best movie ever.--Yo dawg 111 09:56, 26 February 2012 (CST)

Blank Conversion
Any bullet can kill someone. But do you really need to in self defense like Concealed Carry?
Often enough, my friends ask "Why can't you fire live bullets in a blank gun, and blanks in a live gun?"

Well, that's because, live guns use the recoil from the bullet leaving the gun to send the slide back. Blanks don't create this backward movement, so you must convert the guns to cycle with blanks.
Yes and no.

You don't need to convert revolvers, bolt action rifles, and pump/lever action shotguns, because the gun is fed by the mechanism.
You want a round that has stopping and knock down power. The average crook (we will leave out the armed ballistic vest running gun battles) will stop at seeing a gun but if they don't then you can shoot them. Hopefully they will recover at the hospital but if necessary you can use your gun and training to shoot them in the head.

Any bullet will kill someone but it is all about what you feel comfortable with. If a .40 S&W is all you feel comfortable with then find a .40 that fits your needs. Find your minimum caliber that you like then find your maximum caliber that you like and find a gun that suits your needs in one of those calibers.

Gun reviews are awesome. They make sure you don't go "Aw crap, this $1,000 gun sucks."
One of my favorites...

.The SIG-Sauer P232 is usually thrown in with the "girl gun" group with guns such as the Stainless Walther PPK, SIG-Sauer P230 (the P232's predessessor), and more. I consider the P232 a gun perfect for both guys and girls that have good experiance with guns. 'the gun is snag free, light weight, and plenty of firepower for a small shootout.
To see how the "girl guns" are used by men, check out Burn Notice (season 1), Departed, The, Last Boy Scout, The, and Collateral.

According to me, the alternate ending was a much more emotional way to end the movie and a way to show how much Eddie and Mosely changed and became good people in the end because Mosely gave his life to stop 5 other cops from being corrupt. Thats just my 2 cents.

Movie Review for Collateral

Is the .380 an adequate self defense round?

Yes and no.

Let me explain.

Any bullet can kill someone. But do you really need to in self defense like Concealed Carry?

Yes and no.
