- I only ask because having the 29 and 629 both under one page is a bit confusing, especially when the rest of the earlier Smith and Wesson guns (pistols included) all have separate pages for each of the blue steel guns and their stainless counterparts. I think that the custom barrels of the 629s from [[Extreme Prejudice]], [[Beverly Hills Cop]] and [[Hitcher, The (1986)|The Hitcher]] are made by John Jovino Gun Shop or Magna-Port Combat Conversion Kit, but more probably is Magna Port. With a quick search on google you understand what I mean.

Look at the thin compensation holes in the middle of the barrel. It's a peculiarity of both brands.

Before stainless revolvers of S&W 686. They used 44 magnum revolver of S&W 629 in movies since 1981. Later in the late 80's, They used Smith and Wesson 686 instead sometimes in some movies.
