There's a good shot of this gun in the movie when Sgt. Tate is in the elevator and the blood starts dripping on the wounded officer. It shows him pulling his revolver and high-porting in right in the frame. Good close-up for little details. | There's a good shot of this gun in the movie when Sgt. Nice job on this page, but you missed two guns: two HRT members use Remington 700s outside Buffalo Bill's house, and one of them uses an H&K P7M13 when Crawford realizes they have the wrong house. -Gunman69 19:22, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Buffalo Bill's Colt Python
In the book I think I remember it saying that Buffalo Bill's Python fired .22s, although in the movie it is .357. Can anyone confirm this? --FirearmFanatic 13:22, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
In the book it says he loads his .357 magnum with .38 special.
HRT
Is this not odd behaviour for a HRT team?--Jackie.45Cal 19:38, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Post-War Browning HP
I'm not that sure, but I think I saw an external extractor on that HP used in the movie, which would mean that We need to change the info, but I am not changing it until I'm absolutly sure. - Kilgore 15:38, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
short 870
Scott Glenn explains why Crawford's 870 is short in the feature "Breaking the Silence" on the Blu-ray. --Funkychinaman 00:52, 30 October 2011 (CDT)
Transcript from Chapter 44 from "Breaking the Silence."
"There's a scene where I, we, surround the house, where they're cutting back and forth and back and forth, and they had, where they gave me a shotgun, they wanted me to go in, and I said, 'this is not...' `cuz I had been training with the FBI too, I had been shooting with them on the range too, the barrel is too long on this shotgun, it was 18 inches long, it should be 14 inches. The prop guy said, 'well that's a class 3 weapon, we couldn't...' I said, 'well, that's wrong.' He got a hacksaw and he cut the barrel right before we went in and he said 'I hope we're not going to get in trouble.' He brought it to me, and now it looks right." -Scott Glenn
Not the best transcript, but he was rambling a bit. --Funkychinaman 02:48, 30 October 2011 (CDT)
- It's pretty cool though to see that some actors do care about getting weapons right in films. I've always liked Scott Glenn, I think he's one of those actors who is overlooked quite often. --cool-breeze 03:30, 19 January 2012 (CST)
