given the incomplete and rather slipshod nature of this page, it is ironic that this film has such a fanatical following and yet no one able to actually complete this page. (and no, I don't own this film so I can't screencap it and ID the characters correctly). In the past we've battled with fanatical fans of the series, but usually over the posting of manga images. ‘Battle Royale’ was a controversial '''1999 Japanese novel''' by Koushun Takami. It was later adapted into a '''live action film''' - Battle Royale (2000). Takami later published a 3,000 page '''illustrated manga''' version of the story. It has a sequel: [[Battle Royale II: Requiem]].
The premise of '''Battle Royale''' revolves around “The Program,” a government sponsored event which forces randomly selected junior high school classes to murder each other until there is only one survivor - in short, a deathmatch without respawns and with random weapons. Each student is given a duffel bag containing a randomly selected weapon. Their weapons may be guns, knives, clubs, or toys. Many of the characters’ weapons differ in the three versions.

Sorry, but being honest this page is very badly done.--Dillinger 03:12, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
I tried to fix it a long time ago, but gave up. You're more than welcome to revise it. --Ben41 03:15, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry if it sounded rude, but I don't have the movie, but if you wait, maybe I can get it.--Dillinger 03:38, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yes it did sound rude. We have an unwritten rule here. "Unless you are volunteering to fix a page, shut yer trap." Just pointing out how others have failed and not fixing it yourself is not looked upon well here. :) MoviePropMaster2008 04:01, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
