New Kids Turbo is a 2010 Dutch social comedy about the life of a group of five anti-social and dysfunctional young men in the Dutch village of Maaskantje, in the rural south of Holland. Barrie (Flip van der Kuil), Robbie (Steffen Haars), Gerrie (Tim Haars), Richard (Huub Smit) and Rikkert (Wesley van Gaalen) blissfully spend their days with their simple jobs, drinking beer, performing all kinds of petty crime and listening to 90’s techno music.
When they lose their jobs and their social benefit as well, they make the radical decision to 'simply' not pay for anything anymore and just take what they like. Soon things get out of hand in the most radical way. New adventures of the New Kids can be seen in the 2011 sequel New Kids Nitro.
The following weapons were used in the film New Kids Turbo:
Handguns
Walther P5
Most of the time, the Maaskantje police officers are carrying the Walther P5 as a standard weapon.
Unidentified M1911A1 variant
After his discharge the Maaskantje police officer steals at least two pistols from the gun locker. He hands out one to a prisoner he tries to recruit for his crusade, but the prisoner decides to kill himself rather than help a cop. The gun appears to be some kind of customized M1911A1 variant with several external parts as sights etc. missing.
Luger P08
Gerrie (Tim Haars) is seen shooting two Luger P08's.
Rifles
M1 carbine
A police sniper waiting for the New Kids to show up carries an M1 Carbine
Remington M700PSS/700P
A police sniper waiting for the New Kids to show up uses a Remington 700PSS sniper rifle.
Karabiner 98k
Rikkert (Wesley van Gaalen) is armed with a Karabiner 98k after the New Kids looted the weapon stash.
Submachine Guns
Beretta Model 38A
Gerrie (Tim Haars) shows the Beretta Model 38A to Richard, after he fired it at his friends.
MP28/II
Rikkert (Wesley van Gaalen) carries a MP28/II.
MP40
The MP40 is used by Richard (Huub Smit) and by Manuela (Nicole van Lierop) in the final shootout.
M1A1 Thompson
Take-away owner Henk Snackbar (Ruud Matthijssen) receives an M1A1 Thompson from Richard to protect his business and Manuela's children. He later uses it in an ambush.
Machine Guns
Bren Mk2
Barrie (Flip van der Kuil) is carrying a Bren Mk2 Light Machine Gun during the shootout.
MG42
An MG42 is also used by Barrie (Flip van der Kuil) in the final shootout.
MG15
In the background during the scene in the weapon stash, an MG15 machine gun in an anti-aircraft mount can be seen.
Miscellaneous
Pump action shotgun
Also in the weapon stash we see Gerrie (Tim Haars) carrying a pump action shotgun. The brand/model cannot be identified.
M72 LAW
Gerrie (Tim Haars) uses a M72 LAW to take out an approaching police car. There is a inconsistency in the movie, since he fires the same M72 LAW two times. In real life it's a single-use weapon.
