Kill Bill Vol. 1 (2003)

Kill Bill Vol. 1 is director Quentin Tarantino's homage to the martial arts films he enjoyed in his youth. Uma Thurman stars as "The Bride", a former assassin who after being shot and left for dead, awakens from a coma and is determined to exact revenge on those who tried to kill her, especially her former boss "Bill" (David Carradine). The "Kill Bill" saga would be comprised of this 2003 film and 2004's Kill Bill Vol. 2.
