Vares: Private Eye is 2004 Finnish crime film. The film revolves around Private Eye Jussi Valtteri Vares (Juha Veijonen) and a prison escape, that gathers attention from the police and hitmen alike.

Valmet M62
During the military refresher course in the beginning of the film, several Finnish soldiers can be seen with Valmet M62 assault rifles fitted with military blank adapters. Glock 17
Mikko Koitere (Samuli Edelmann) uses a Glock 17 as his sidearm throughout the film. Karl E. Miesmann (Jari Halonen) takes Koitere's Glock at one point and holds it on him.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Antero Kraft (Jorma Tommila) uses a stainless Smith & Wesson Model 36 during the church scene to escape from the police. Her bride-to-be Eeva Sunila (Laura Malmivaara) smuggles it into the church under her wedding dress. Eeeva uses the Model 36 later on in the film.
IMI Desert Eagle Mark VII
Jari 'Hillosilmä' Munck (Pekka Valkeejärvi) of the Finnish hitman duo carries a Desert Eagle as his sidearm throughout the film.
Colt Python
Tetsuo Sinkkonen (Kari Hietalahti) of the Finnish hitman duo carries a stainless Colt Python with an 8 inch barrel as his sidearm in the film.
