Priest of Evil is a 2010 Finnish film and the first of its kind as a full-blooded thriller. Detective Sergeant Timo Harjunpää (Peter Franzén) of the Helsinki Violent Crimes Unit is only a shadow of the man who used to be. He's taking pills for his depression, and he's trying to cope with his estranged wife, who has turned to God after the loss of their daughter. He's also dealing with a case of a strange succession of deaths in the Helsinki metrostations, which are believed to be the work of a serial killer. At the same time he's plotting revenge on the man who killed his daughter.
The following weapons were used in the film Priest of Evil:
Glock 17
A third generation Glock 17 (which is the real-life sidearm of Finnish Police Force) is used by all of the Helsinki police department officers, including Detective Sergeant Timo Harjunpää, Sergeant Matias Krankke (Jorma Tommila) and Sergeant Onerva Nykänen (Jenni Banerjee). Harjunpää keeps his Glock in a shoulder holster. He loses his Glock after a fight with the serial killer, Johannes Heino (Sampo Sarkola), at a metrostation. After Heino steals the Glock from Harjunpää, he swithces to a Smith & Wesson Model 629, and uses it for the rest of the film.
Smith & Wesson Model 629
A Smith & Wesson Model 629, the stainless steel version of the Smith & Wesson Model 29, is used by Timo Harjunpää (Peter Franzén) after he loses his Glock 17 for the rest of the film.
SIG-Sauer P225
A SIG-Sauer P225 is used by Sergeant Matias Krankke (Jorma Tommila) as his personal sidearm. He pulls it when he's searching Johannes Heino's house. There's a brief continuity error when Krankke's P225 changes into a Walther P88 Compact, after he enters Heino's basement.
Walther P88 Compact
Matias Krankke's SIG-Sauer P225 changes into a Walther P88 Compact when he enters a suspect's basement.
MP5A3
The Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine gun is used by a couple of Karhu Team officers during the raid in the beginning of the film. The Finnish Karhu Team (basically Finnish SWAT) also uses MP5s in real life.
AR-15 variants
A couple of Karhu Team officers use unknown AR-15 variants during the raid near the end of the film. The Finnish Karhu Team doesn't use AR-15 in real life. They are also really hard to get and really expensive in Finland. It is very possible that these rifles are airsoft variants.
Stevens Model 67
A man is seen holding a Stevens Model 67 during the raid in the beginning.
