Fear over the City (Peur sur la ville) is a 1975 French crime triller directed by Henri Verneuil and starring Jean-Paul Belmondo as Paris police Commissioner Jean Letellier. Letellier has two opponents: his old enemy, gangster Marcucci, and maniacal killer calling himself Minos.

Smith & Wesson Model 38 revolvers are service sidearms of Commissioner Jean Letellier (Jean-Paul Belmondo) and other French police detectives.
Colt Trooper Mk III
In the flashback scene Letellier (Jean-Paul Belmondo) uses a Colt Trooper Mk III with 4-inch barrel. Later he uses the same revolver during firefight with Marcucci in Paris subway.
