The DIO KH2002 is an Iranian bullpup derivative of the DIO S-5.56 assault rifle (made by the Defense Industries Organization), which is a direct copy of the Norinco Model 311, which is itself a Chinese M16 clone. The KH2002 was put into service in 2004 as a replacement for the Iranian Military's obsolete G3A3.
The basic model is nicknamed Khaybar. The improved Sama model was introduced in 2009.
