The Border was a Canadian-produced drama series about the agents of the fictional Immigration and Customs Security agency who were tasked with investigating various threats and crimes that occurred along Canada’s borders. The series aired for three seasons from 2008 to 2010 on CBC Television, as well as in syndication in other countries.
The following weapons were used in the television series The Border:
Handguns
Smith & Wesson 5906
The Smith & Wesson 5906 pistol is the standard sidearm of Immigration and Customs Security (ICS) agents, including Major Mike Kessler (James McGowan), Detective-Sergeant Gray Jackson (Graham Abbey), Superintendent Maggie Norton (Catherine Disher) Detective Al 'Moose' Lepinsky (Mark Wilson), Agent Darnell Williams (Jim Codrington) and Agent Khalida Massi (Athena Karkanis). IT is identified by the stepped frame - lower reciever
Beretta 84FS
A stainless Beretta 84FS was Sergeant Layla Hourani’s sidearm in the show’s pilot. Suspected terrorist Tariq Haddad (Anousha Alamian) takes Hourani’s Beretta and holds her hostage with it during a standoff at Toronto Pearson Airport.
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS is commonly used by antagonists throughout the series.
Taurus PT92AFS
MI6 agent Charlotte Bates (Daisy Beaumont) assembles a stainless Taurus PT92 with a suppressor in S02E03, “Floral Tribute”, using it to assassinate a Nigerian drug dealer.
Beretta 92FS Inox
Bates uses the similar Beretta 92FS Inox in the Season 3 premiere, “The Dead”, when confronting ‘Ndrangheta mafia boss Adriano Frantangelo. Chinese MSS agents are armed with the 92FS Inox while searching for a defector in S03E06, "Kiss and Cry".
Colt M1911A1
A Chinese human smuggler uses a M1911A1 pistol in S01E05, "Physical Assets". Layla confiscates one from a Toronto hotel room after ETF operators have secured the place.
Glock 17
Glock 17 pistols are used by Department of Homeland Security agents Bianca LaGuarda (Sofia Milos) and Liz Carver (Grace Park), as well as by most of the local police departments that assist ICS. Glock 17s are also used by some antagonists, including a domestic terrorist in S01E08 “Enemy Contact”, and African drug traffickers in S02E03, “Floral Tribute”.
Glock 17L
Agent Darnell Williams (Jim Codrington) uses what appears to be a Glock 17L pistol when rescuing Major Mike Kessler (James McGowan) in S03E05, "Missing Action".
Glock 19
A Glock 19 pistol is used by Sudanese refugee Ali (Isiah Grant) in S01E07, “Family Affairs”. Gray also seizes a Glock 19 in S03E04, “Hate Metal” and uses it while searching for the leader of a white supremacist group.
Makarov PM
A Taliban leader in S03E05 "Missing in Action", is armed with a Makarov PM.
Ruger KP90
Gray uses a Ruger KP90 as his off-duty sidearm.
Walther PPK
Kimar Lady K pistol
Sergeant Layla Hourani (Nazneen Contractor) uses what appears to be a stainless Walther PPK as her sidearm during seasons 1 and 2. Upon closer inspection, the pistol appears to have a black hammer and safety control, making it likely a blank-firing Kimar Lady K.
Walther PPK 'Non-Gun'
Rebecca Barden (Sarah White) fires a Walther PPK 'Non Gun' in S02E07, "Articles of Faith".
SIG-Sauer P226
FBI agents and Surete Du Quebec officers in S02E04, “Nothing to Declare”, are armed with SIG-Sauer P226 pistols when they apprehend a pair of bikers working as hitmen on the Vermont/Quebec border. Kessler's former JTF2 comrade (Dwight McPhee) also cocks a P226 when helping to protect some witnesses in S01E13, "Blowback".
SIG-Sauer P230
Gangster Tran Bao Lanh (Adriano Sobretodo) uses a SIG-Sauer P230 in S03E09 "Dying Art". Agent Khalida Massi (Athena Karkanis) takes Tran's P230 after subduing him.
Shotguns
Remington 870
The Remington 870 shotgun is used by ICS agents and tactical teams in various configurations.
Mossberg 590
Sheriff Bill brandishes a Mossberg 590 shotgun while apprehending a pair of bikers in "Nothing to Declare"
Mossberg 590 Cruiser
Officers from the Mohawk Seaway Reserve in S01E02, "Gray Zone", carry Mossberg 590 Cruiser shotguns.
Benelli M3 Super 90
Vancouver ERT officers in S03E04 "Hate Metal" are armed with Benelli M3 Super 90 shotguns. ICS agents are also occasionally seen with Benelli M3s.
Submachine Guns
IMI Uzi
A gunman in S02E09, "Good Intentions", fires an Uzi at Gray and Layla during a standoff at a motel.
IMI Mini Uzi
Assassins use Mini Uzis in S03E10, "Spoils of War", to murder former Congolese warlord Edouard Baseke (Sterling Jarvis) and his lawyer.
Heckler & Koch MP5K
Gray and Layla use Heckler & Koch MP5K submachine guns while searching for Al-Qaeda detainees who escaped from a rendition flight in Northern Quebec during S01E03 "Bodies on the Ground". MP5Ks are also seen in the ICS armory while agents are preparing for a sweep for illegal immigrants in Toronto.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
The MP5A3 is seen in several configurations throughout the series. During season 1, MP5A3s with slimline forearms are used by Albanian gangsters in S01E02 "Gray Zone" and JTF-2 commandos in "Bodies on the Ground". From Season 2 onwards, all of the MP5A3s are seen with Navy trigger groups and are most notably used by 'Ndragheta mobsters in the Season 2 finale "Going Dark". Modified MP5A3s with RIS forearms and suppressors are used by MS-13 gangsters who attempt to kill a witness hiding in a refugee settlement centre during the Season 3 finale "No Refuge".
