Street Kings is a 2008 American crime thriller directed by David Ayer (the writer of Training Day and the director of Harsh Times) and stars Keanu Reeves as Tom Ludlow, a veteran LAPD Vice detective who finds himself questioning the actions he's had to take in the line of duty when he's involved in a shootout that led to the death of his former partner. The film was based on an original screenplay from James Ellroy (the author of L.A. Confidential) and co-stars Forest Whitaker, Chris Evans, Terry Crews, and Hugh Laurie. An unrelated sequel, Street Kings 2: Motor City, was released on video in 2011.

[[ | Detective Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) uses a Smith & Wesson 4506-1 with Novak LoMount sights as his on-duty sidearm, but uses a customized Colt Mk IV Series 80 for his off-duty activities. He most notably uses it near the beginning of the film, when he hides it in the trunk of a car and uses it to single-handedly takes down four Korean slavers. Although it is not visible in the film, the 4506 used in the film has a pair of snake eyes dice and "Vice Special" printed on the right side of the slide between the ejection port and the muzzle. This 4506 was later re-used in several episodes of the TV series Dark Blue (which had the same armorer as this film).

The following weapons were used in the film Street Kings:

Handguns
Smith & Wesson 4506-1
Detective Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) uses a Smith & Wesson 4506-1 with Novak LoMount sights as his on-duty sidearm, but uses a customized Colt Mk IV Series 80 for his off-duty activities.
Custom Colt Mk IV Series 80
Detective Tom Ludlow carries a Colt Mk IV Series 80 pistol as his off-duty sidearm. The .45 is customized with raised adjustable sights, beaver tail grip safety, a combat hammer, extended ambidextrous slide stop safety, extended slide release, beveled magazine well, stainless barrel, and long type combat trigger. The magazines Ludlow uses also have butt pads.
The particular Series 80 from Street Kings would later be re-used in several other films and TV series, carried by Dylan McDermott in Dark Blue and Cole Hauser in Chase. Special thanks to Terence Morgan, the armorer on all three productions, who provided the picture of the weapon (as seen below).
Glock 17
Detective Paul Diskant (Chris Evans), or "Disco" as Ludlow calls him, carries a Glock 17 as his sidearm. Scribble (Cedric the Entertainer) also holds Diskant's Glock when he is forced to pick it up during the shootout at Fremont and Coates' apartment. Fremont (Cle Shaheed Sloan) also uses a Glock 17 as his sidearm.
Charter Arms Off Duty
Det. Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) keeps a stainless Charter Arms Off Duty hammerless snub-nose revolver as his "burner" or BUG (back-up gun). He keeps the gun loaded with .38 hollow points. When Fremont and Coates attack Terrence Washington (Terry Crews) in the convenience store, Ludlow draws his .38 and fires all five shots, one of which accidentally hits Washington in the right shoulder. Captain Wander (Forest Whitaker) holds the gun after the shootout as he takes the casings from it.
Kimber TLE II
Detective Dante Demille (John Corbett) and Detective Cosmo Santos (Amaury Nolasco) carry Kimber Custom TLE II pistols fitted with SureFire 310R flashlights as their sidearms. Detective Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) also uses Demille's Kimber at one point. Coincidentally, Keanu Reeves had used the early corresponding model of this LAPD SWAT issue pistol 14 years prior in 1994's Speed.
Beretta 92FS
Several LAPD officers, including Capt. Biggs' right-hand man Sergeant Green (Clifton Powell), are armed with Beretta 92FS pistols. Capt. James Biggs (Hugh Laurie) also carries one as his sidearm.
Beretta 92FS Inox
Terrence Washington (Terry Crews) carries a Beretta 92FS Inox as his sidearm. Shortly before the convenience store is raided by two cop killers, Washington draws his Inox on a stunned Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves), who in spite of his original intention of breaking his jaw, had entered the store to warn Washington of the impending attack.
Colt Mk IV Series 80 Combat Commander
Det. Ludlow finds an engraved silver or nickel-plated Colt Mk IV Series 80 Combat Commander with gold-plated hammer and thumb safety after the shootout with the Korean slavers in their house. He plants the Colt on the unarmed man in the bathroom.
SIG-Sauer P239
Coates (Common) carries a two-tone SIG-Sauer P239 as his sidearm. He most notably uses it during the shootout with Ludlow.
Colt Anaconda
A stainless Colt Anaconda is used by the masked Korean slaver aka "Towel Man" (in the credits) (Victor Kobayashi) when Ludlow raids their house.
Kahr M9098 Elite 2003
Thug Kim (Walter Wong), one of the Korean slavers, carries a Kahr M9098 Elite 2003. Only the Elite 2003 model has the polished stainless frame. The Kahr M9098 Elite 2003 is the smallest of the Kahr 9mm pistols with a 3" barrel. After his raid on the Koreans' house, Detective Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) takes Thug Kim's Kahr, which he had barely drawn before being gunned down, and uses the Korean's hand to fire two shots into the door frame to look like he shot first.
Smith & Wesson Model 66
Captain Jack Wander (Forest Whitaker) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 66 with a 2.5" barrel as his sidearm. The revolver is only seen very briefly once during the confrontation between him and Ludlow.
Rohrbaugh R9
When Ludlow and Diskant chase down Quicks (Noel Gugliemi), Ludlow traps Quicks in the barbed wire roof and takes a Rohrbaugh R9 which Quicks had hidden in his waist.
Walther PPK/S
Det. Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) also carries a Walther PPK/S as a back-up gun to his customized Colt. The PPK/S can be seen only briefly, as Det. Santos (Amaury Nolasco) confiscates it from Ludlow as he and Det. Demille (John Corbett) arrest Ludlow.
Submachine Guns
Smith & Wesson M76
Fremont (Cle Shaheed Sloan) uses a Smith & Wesson M76 with two magazines clipped together during the shootout at the convenience store. He also uses it during the shootout with Ludlow and Diskant in his apartment. Fremont keeps the M76 loaded with 9mm FMJs or Full Metal Jackets, meaning simple ball ammo.
M3A1 "Grease Gun"
Coates (Common) uses an M3A1 "Grease Gun" during the shootout at the convenience store. The magazines are held together with a metal clamp but when Coates reloads, the magazine is still on the same side. Coates keeps the M3A1 loaded with .45 Full Metal Jackets, meaning .45 ACP ball ammo.
Shotguns
Remington 870
Boss Kim (Kenneth Choi) uses a Remington 870 with a sawed-off barrel when Det. Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) raids the Koreans' hideout. He manages to hit Ludlow in the bulletproof vest with it, before he is killed by the detective moments later. Detectives Santos (Amaury Nolasco) and Demille (John Corbett) also carry synthetic stock Remington 870 Police shotguns, fitted with SureFire grips, when they arrest Ludlow at Grace's (Martha Higareda) house. At the end of the film, Sergeant Green (Clifton Powell) also holds a Remigton 870 Police shotgun when he approaches Det. Ludlow.
Mossberg 500
Coates (Common) uses a Mossberg 500 fitted with a side saddle shell holder and a heat shield during the confrontation with Ludlow.
Benelli M1 Super 90
Detective "Disco" Diskant (Chris Evans) carries a Benelli M1 Super 90 fitted with a side saddle shell holder and a tactical flashlight during several busts as he aids Ludlow. Several police officers are also armed with Benelli M1 Super 90 shotguns.
Rifles
M1 Garand
The LAPD honor guards at Washington's funeral perform a rifle volley with M1 Garand rifles.
Romanian AIMS
When Ludlow and Diskant raid Grill's (Jayceon "Game" Taylor) house, Grill reaches for a Romanian AIMS, based on the stock configuration and furniture.
Machine Guns
Browning M2
Ludlow pretends to sell a Browning M2 heavy machine gun to two of the Korean slavers in order to provoke them into stealing his car and the gun, thus allowing him to track them to their final location. When the Koreans first see the gun, they complain how they wanted a machine gun they could carry, not a 120 lb machine gun to scratch up their car with.
