:Yes, it could be a trick of the camera.  Specific angle of the camera makes the gun look LARGER.  I just picked up on the size difference because I have both guns (in fact both of the shots on IMFDB of the 1st Model Mod36 and the Snub Round butt Mod10 are mine) and I held them both in my hand for comparison.  Hmmmm.  Interesting though, maybe I can put guns which look very much alike in the same pic so IMFDB members can see their comparative sizes? ==Cragen's Sidearms==
Can somebody try to get some screenshots of Captain Cragen's sidearms? --L.J. Gibbs 08:58, 26 November 2011 (CST)
For information on where to look for good screenshots, Cragen's Model 36 is notably seen in the episode "Risk" (S4E12), and his Glock is notably seen in the episode "Ace" (S11E22). --500Magnum
Desert Eagle
S.2-E.3 former rape victim Harper carries a Desert Eagle to protect herself. (I'm watching EVERY single episode on Netflix). When Det. Benson asks her what kind of hand gun she's carrying, Harper replies by calling it a ".50 Caliber, double action, Desert Eagle with a 14 round clip." She then turns over the 14 rounder and switches out for 8. If I'm incorrect, isn't the .357 or .44 version the one that comes with an 8 round clip? I don't know much about the Desert Eagle, but I do know that a 14 round clip is absurd. Cheers! Miyazawa (talk) 08:30, 9 September 2012 (EDT)Miyazawa
:Standard capacity for a Desert Eagle in .50 cal would be 7 rounds, 8 rounds in .44 magnum, and 9 rounds in .357 magnum.  Though extremely rare 10 round mags were made in .44 magnum, but I have not heard of anything larger than that. ==Glock 23==
Are we sure it's actually a G23 and not just the G19 used elsewhere? Mere verbal reference that it's a .40 caliber doesn't make it a Glock 23, and the couple of screencaps we have don't really show us enough to say so either. Ah yes, SVU, the universe where all handguns are Glocks all the time! It seems so rare that the armorers on this show use anything other than a Glock for their characters.

Probably because the Glock is the most common handgun carried by the NYPD. --Ben41 03:47, 3 May 2011 (CDT)

S&W Model 36

I don't think that's a picture of a Model 36. Beltzer doesn't have small hands. That gun looks like a snub Model 10. MoviePropMaster2008 21:40, 2 May 2011 (CDT)

I believe that in that episode, it's specifically mentioned as a Model 36. --Ben41 03:47, 3 May 2011 (CDT)

Yes, it could be a trick of the camera. Specific angle of the camera makes the gun look LARGER. I just picked up on the size difference because I have both guns (in fact both of the shots on IMFDB of the 1st Model Mod36 and the Snub Round butt Mod10 are mine) and I held them both in my hand for comparison. Desert Eagle

S.2-E.3 former rape victim Harper carries a Desert Eagle to protect herself. (I'm watching EVERY single episode on Netflix). When Det. Benson asks her what kind of hand gun she's carrying, Harper replies by calling it a ".50 Caliber, double action, Desert Eagle with a 14 round clip." Standard capacity for a Desert Eagle in .50 cal would be 7 rounds, 8 rounds in .44 magnum, and 9 rounds in .357 magnum. Though extremely rare 10 round mags were made in .44 magnum, but I have not heard of anything larger than that. Dover500 (talk) 19:43, 9 September 2012 (EDT)
