The film stars Chow Yun-Fat as Tequila, a veteran Hong Kong Police Force inspector who takes on a crime syndicate that is smuggling arms through the city. Tony Leung Chiu Wai co-stars as Alan, a gangster on his way up in the syndicate whom Tequila cross paths with and discovers has more to his past than is seen on the surface. John Woo and Chow Yun-Fat would continue the story of Tequila in the video game Stranglehold.

You can tell when they're Tauruses because they have the frame-mounted safety, whereas the Beretta has a slide-mounted safety. The [[ | The Beretta 92FS is used in some scenes (but is not nearly as common as the Brazilian Taurus PT92 which is commonly mistaken for it). Alan attempts to pull a Beretta on Tequila during the scene where Tequila confronts him on his boat, but Tequila takes it and later uses it in a shootout on the dock. Tequila also has another Beretta 92FS during the hospital shootout after he gives his stainless Taurus PT92 to Alan in the elevator (where he gets this pistol is a mystery - both he and Alan were only seen taking PT92s from the arms cache while equipping themselves to take on Johnny Wong's thugs). Tequila is later seen using the same 92FS in the hospital, as evident by its wooden grips.

In the hospital scene, while encouraging his men to shoot at the police surrounding the hospital, Johnny Wong mockingly points out that, "A cop's just a human being with a gun, he's not immortal. They've got guns, we've got guns, too. But they just have .38s [sic]". And Johnny Wong himself uses one to cut down the patients standing between him and Alan during the hospital shootout before his massacre is stopped by Mad Dog.

Hard Boiled is a 1992 Hong Kong action crime film written and directed by John Woo.
The following weapons were used in the film Hard Boiled:

Pistols
Norinco Type 54
Two Norinco Type 54 pistols (Chinese-made models of the Tokarev TT-33) are used by Inspector Tequila Yuen (Chow Yun-Fat) during the opening shootout in the tea house. He acquires these pistols when he smashes open a bird-cage which the pistols are being concealed by Hong Kong arms dealers selling them to customers in the tea house (the dealer specifically refers to them as Chinese-made guns, nicknamed "Black Star" due to the star logo).
Norinco Type 54 pistols also appear numerous other times in the hands of Johnny Wong's (Anthony Wong Chau-Sang) thugs, and Alan (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) carries a nickel plated model early in the hospital scene when he and Tequila are searching for Wong's arms cache (he tries to shoot Mad Dog with it).
Browning Hi-Power
A Browning Hi-Power is used in several scenes. Teresa Chang (Teresa Mo) takes one from a Hong Kong SDU officer and uses it to kill one of Johnny Wong's thugs in the hospital when he slaps her.
Davis P-32
A Davis P-32 pistol fitted with a homemade suppressor is used by Alan (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) to kill a traitor in his boss' organization. One of the detectives investigating the murder specifically refers to the weapon as a "Davis .32", indicating that it is definitely the P-32 and not the P-380 model (which looks very similar, but chambered for the larger caliber .380 cartridge). The P-32 is hidden in a hollowed-out volume of Shakespeare plays in a library and then returned to this book after the execution has been completed.
Taurus PT92
Although Hard Boiled is known as a film which prominently features the Beretta 92FS (like many Chow Yun-Fat and John Woo films), it is actually the Taurus PT92, the Brazilian counterpart of the Beretta 92F, which is most frequently seen in the film. You can tell when they're Tauruses because they have the frame-mounted safety, whereas the Beretta has a slide-mounted safety. Taurus PT92 pistols are wielded by Inspector Tequila Yuen (Chow Yun-Fat), by Alan (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) during his undercover work, and by many of Johnny Wong's thugs.
Taurus PT92CS
A Taurus PT92CS is seen in the background when a thug loads the MP5A3 in the armory check scene. This same gun is also visible on the pistol rack (seen below).
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS is used in some scenes (but is not nearly as common as the Brazilian Taurus PT92 which is commonly mistaken for it).
Steyr GB
Alan uses a Steyr GB pistol during the shootout on his boat, although when he takes the gun out of its hiding place, it appears to be a Beretta or Taurus-type pistol (a continuity error, undoubtedly).
Heckler & Koch P7M13
In the final confrontation of the film, Johnny Wong (Anthony Wong Chau-Sang) comes out of the hospital holding Alan (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) hostage with a Heckler & Koch P7M13.
Thompson Center Arms Contender
The Thompson Center Arms Contender single-shot pistol is used by Mad Dog (Philip Kwok) when Tequila and Alan raid Johnny Wong's arsenal. The Contender was also used by the lead villain in John Woo's next film, Hard Target.
"Pre-B" CZ 75
The Czech "Pre-B" CZ 75 is used by many of Johnny Wong's thugs, including Mad Dog (Philip Kwok) during the hospital shootout. Mad Dog sets his pistol down in the hospital shootout when he prepares to fight Alan while giving a chance for the patients in the room to leave. It is interesting to note that, in this scene, the close-ups of the gun on the floor (after showing him set it down) actually show a Taurus PT92; however, it is a CZ 75 again when he picks it up later.
Glock 17
Glock 17 pistols are used by several of Johnny Wong's thugs. One is being unloaded during an early scene in the arsenal.
Star 30M
A Star 30M is seen on the table when Johnny Wong's thugs are doing a weapons inventory.
Revolvers
Ruger GP100
Tequila's sidearm which he carries throughout the film is a blued-steel Ruger GP100 with a four inch barrel. In the warehouse scene, he attempts to kill Alan with it, only to discover he fired off all six chambers (despite in fact firing 10 shots throughout the scene). He later opens the gun and knocks out the empty shells in frustration.
Taurus Model 85
The Taurus Model 85 is the standard sidearm of the Hong Kong police in the film (standing in for the Colt Detective Special). In the hospital scene, while encouraging his men to shoot at the police surrounding the hospital, Johnny Wong mockingly points out that, "A cop's just a human being with a gun, he's not immortal. They've got guns, we've got guns, too. But they just have .38s [sic]". In a moment of irony, as Alan frees himself from his hostage situation, Tequila eliminates the villain with a single shot to the eye from a patrolman's Model 85.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
HKPD officers outside the hospital are sometimes seen using Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolvers.
Charter Arms Bulldog
One of the thugs in the hospital morgue looks to be using a pre-90s model Charter Arms Bulldog "Pug" with wooden grips in .44 Special.
Ruger Super Redhawk
A stainless Ruger Super Redhawk with a 9.5" barrel and fitted with a bulky 90s style laser sight (note the pressure switch on the grip) is seen lying under the Jatimatic.
Colt Python
A Colt Python is seen on the table while Johnny Wong's men check the armory weapons.
Submachine Guns
SWD M11/9
The SWD M11/9 is used by many of Johnny Wong's thugs. When Johnny Wong's men raid the arms warehouse, many (including Mad Dog) use M11/9s fitted with suppressors. They are noted by their slightly longer receivers. Some have MAC-11-style folding stocks, others don't. Alan (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) takes one out of the armory crate but never uses it.
IMI Micro Uzi
Another weapon which is commonly seen in the film is the Micro Uzi machine pistol. The bodyguard whom Tequila exchanges gunfire (and finally kills) in the tea house shootout uses this weapon, as do many of Johnny Wong's thugs. Both Alan and Mad Dog use it in the warehouse scene, Alan to execute his boss' associates while Mad Dog tries to kill Tequila. And Johnny Wong himself uses one to cut down the patients standing between him and Alan during the hospital shootout before his massacre is stopped by Mad Dog.
IMI Mini Uzi
A thug in the hospital shoots an officer on the rappel rope with a Mini Uzi before being gunned down.
Calico M950A
A Calico M950A submachine gun is used by Alan during the hospital shootout.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
The Heckler & Koch MP5A3 appears numerous times in the film, mostly in the hands of Johnny Wong's thugs. Tequila uses one during his one-man assault on the warehouse (firing it at Johnny Wong's men as he rappels down from the roof of the warehouse), and both Tequila and Alan use an MP5A3 during the hospital shootout. MP5A3s are also used by Hong Kong SDU (Special Duties Unit) team which is deployed to the hospital.
Heckler & Koch MP5K
The smaller Heckler & Koch MP5K also appears in the film, used by both Johnny Wong's thugs and Hong Kong SDU team.
Beretta PM12S
The Beretta PM12S is used by at least one of Johnny Wong's thugs during the hospital shootout.
Jatimatic
A Jatimatic submachine gun is among the weapons visible on the table in Johnny Wong's arsenal during the scene where his henchmen are working on the guns. It is seen again in a crate that Alan breaks open when he's looking for a gun to use against Mad Dog.
Kimel AP-9
A Kimel AP-9 is used by one of Johnny Wong's thugs who gets shot by Teresa Chang (Teresa Mo) after he slaps her during the hospital shootout.
Shotguns
Ithaca 37
One of the HKPD officers at the end of the film approaches Johnny Wong's dead body with an Ithaca 37 shotgun at the ready.
Mossberg 590
The Mossberg 590 shotgun makes several appearances in the film. Tequila gets a hold of one with a Speedfeed stock, which he uses throughout the hospital shootout (in some cases, he manages to kill two bad guys simultaneously with only one shot!). Note: a heat shield and heavy barrel is what makes a 590 and not a 500, so it is not a "tactical" model.
Mossberg 500 Cruiser
Tequila Yuen (Chow Yun-Fat) uses a nickel plated Mossberg 500 Cruiser shotgun during the shootout in the warehouse. The magazine tube cap clearly shows it is a Mossberg 500 and not a 590 or a 590 Compact Cruiser. Heat shield is standard for the Cruiser, they aren't added to make them "tactical" shotguns.
Mossberg 500 Bullpup
The Mossberg 500 Bullpup is used by several of Johnny Wong's thugs during the hospital scenes.
Remington 870
Stockless Remington 870 shotguns with sawed off barrels are used by the hitmen sent to kill Alan on his boat. Full size 870s are also used by Hong Kong police officers sent to the hospital.
Franchi PA3
A Franchi PA3 is seen on the table while Johnny Wong's men check the armory weapons.
Cobray Street Sweeper
Near the end of the film, Johnny Wong (Anthony Wong Chau-Sang) is seen wielding an SWD/Cobray Street Sweeper (an American copy of the South African-made Armsel Striker) shotgun in the hospital shootout.
Rifles
Colt CAR-15 variants
A Colt CAR-15 Commando-type rifle is seen being stripped and cleaned by one of Johnny Wong's thugs. Several gangsters and Hong Kong police officers are seen using this weapon as well. Most of them appear to be Model 654s and XM177E2s.
There is at least one CAR-15 in the film which, hilariously, has its front sight mounted upside down. It is reused in several scenes, visible in the hands of both the cops and the gangsters.
AKMSU
Mad Dog (Philip Kwok) uses an AKMSU compact assault rifle during the scene in the arsenal (with magazines "jungle-taped" together), which he tries to use to kill Tequila and Alan with no regard for the fact that he risks destroying the weapons and ammunition stored in the arsenal. This gun can also be seen in the hands of other thugs in the hospital (which accounts for the fact that all of them also have two magazines "jungle-taped" together with red tape), and can also be seen lying on the table in the earlier scene in the arsenal where the guns are being cleaned and prepared.
AKM
Some AKM assault rifles are used by Johnny Wong's thugs and Hong Kong police officers. Tequila tries to strangle Mad Dog with one, but it switches to a Poly Tech Legend AK-47 in alternate shots.
Norinco Type 56
Chinese Norinco Type 56 rifles are seen in some scenes, first being loaded into packing crates in Uncle Hoi's arms warehouse, later in the armory, and still later in the hands of Johnny Wong's men.
Norinco Type 56-1
One of the thugs in the hospital uses the folding stock model of the Norinco Type 56, the Type 56-1.
Poly Tech Legend AK-47
A modern copy of a genuine AK-47 is briefly seen switching with the AKM Tequila chokes Mad Dog with. Noted by its open sights, regular muzzle brake, and .75" sight.
M16A1
The M16A1 makes several appearances in the film, in the hands of Johnny Wong's men as well as Hong Kong police officers who arrive at the hospital scene.
M16A1/M203 Combo
Mad Dog (Philip Kwok) uses an M16A1 fitted with an M203 grenade launcher in the hospital shootout, which he uses effectively against the Hong Kong SDU team as well as Alan and Tequila. It is used much like an overpowered shotgun, so he may be utilizing buckshot cartridges. However, in the below image, Mad Dog is loading a CS gas (tear gas) shell instead of a buckshot or explosive round.
Steyr AUG
A Steyr AUG rifle can be seen on the table in Johnny Wong's arsenal (with the barrel/forward grip unscrewed and lying nearby).
Heckler & Koch G3A3
A Heckler & Koch G3A3 rifle can be seen on the table in the arsenal. It might also be an HK91A2, but the rifle clearly has green furniture, and I'm pretty sure the HK91 was never available with this option (from the factory, at least). This same rifle is later seen lying on a crate when Alan and Tequila raid the arsenal.
Norinco Type 86S
One of the more unusual weapons to appear in the film is the Norinco Type 86S, a Chinese-manufactured bullpup model of the AK-47/AKM. It is used by many of Johnny Wong's thugs during the hospital scene.
Others
M72 LAW
When the police surround the hospital, several of Johnny Wong's thugs begin firing M72 LAW rocket launchers at their cruisers. Many of these launchers are also seen on the racks in the arsenal.
Mk 2 Hand Grenade
Mad Dog uses Mk 2 hand grenades to clear out the warehouse of workers and in the hospital. Tequila also uses one to ambush the thugs in the hospital morgue.
M26 Hand Grenade
Tequila uses an M26 hand grenade during the warehouse shootout, blindthrowing it at Mad Dog.
Unknown Smoke Grenade
Used by Tequila during the warehouse scene when he attacks Johnny Wong's gang.
Weapons Cache
The Pistol Rack
A rack containing a number of pistols is seen behind Johnny Wong (Anthony Wong Chau-Sang) during the first scene in the arsenal. On the counter is an M1911 type pistol, possible an airgun as evident by the C02 screw cap in place of a magazine well. On the rack there is Tequila's Ruger GP100, a SIG-Sauer P230, a Makarov PM, a Glock 17, a CZ-75, a Steyr GB, and many more too hard to see. The Taurus PT92C is on the bottom right.
Underground Hospital Armory
M16A1
M60 machine gun
Mossberg 500 Bullpup
Heckler & Koch G3A3
AK-74
Based on the briefly seen stock, this gun could be an AK-74 as evident by the grooves cut into the stock.
