Street Kings is a 2008 American crime thriller directed by David Ayer (the writer of Training Day and the director of Harsh Times) and stars Keanu Reeves as Tom Ludlow, a veteran LAPD Vice detective who finds himself questioning the actions he's had to take in the line of duty when he's involved in a shootout that led to the death of his former partner. The film was based on an original screenplay from James Ellroy (the author of L.A. Confidential) and co-stars Forest Whitaker, Chris Evans, Terry Crews, and Hugh Laurie. An unrelated sequel, Street Kings 2: Motor City, was released on video in 2011.

Smith & Wesson 4506
Spoiler
After using his purposely-stolen car to track the Korean slavers to their hideout, Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) retrieves a Smith & Wesson 4506 and ammunition from his trunk.  He then single-handedly storms the house and kills all four slavers with the gun. It would appear throughout the film he used the 4506 while on duty but uses a SW1911 for his off duty activities.

While off duty, Ludlow carries a Custom M1911A1 (likely a Series 80) .45 pistol  with raised adjustable sights, beaver tail grip safety, a combat hammer, extended ambidextrous slide stop safety, extended slide release, bevelled magazine well, stainless barrel, and long type combat hammer and is seen using it several times in the film.

Detective Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) uses a Smith & Wesson 4506-1 with Novak LoMount sights as his on-duty sidearm, but uses a customized Colt Mk IV Series 80 for his off-duty activities. He most notably uses it near the beginning of the film, when he hides it in the trunk of a car and uses it to single-handedly takes down four Korean slavers. Although it is not visible in the film, the 4506 used in the film has a pair of snake eyes dice and "Vice Special" printed on the right side of the slide between the ejection port and the muzzle. This 4506 was later re-used in several episodes of the TV series Dark Blue (which had the same armorer as this film).

Smith & Wesson M76
Custom Colt Mk IV Series 80
A Smith & Wesson M76 or its copy, the M-K Arms MK 760 is used by Fremont (Cle Shaheed Sloan) to shoot Washington at the convenience store, and later when Tom Ludlow and Diskant confront the killers at their apartment. The ballistics expert tells Ludlow it was loaded with 9mm FMJs or Full Metal Jackets, meaning simple ball ammo.
Detective Tom Ludlow carries a Colt Mk IV Series 80 pistol as his off-duty sidearm. The .45 is customized with raised adjustable sights, beaver tail grip safety, a combat hammer, extended ambidextrous slide stop safety, extended slide release, beveled magazine well, stainless barrel, and long type combat trigger. The magazines Ludlow uses also have butt pads.

The particular Series 80 from Street Kings would later be re-used in several other films and TV series, carried by Dylan McDermott in Dark Blue and Cole Hauser in Chase. Special thanks to Terence Morgan, the armorer on all three productions, who provided the picture of the weapon (as seen below).

Glock 17
An "Grease Gun" is used by Coates (Common) when he and Fremont kill Washington at the convenience store. The ballistics expert tells Ludlow it was loaded with .45 full metal jackets, meaning it was loaded with .45 ACP ball ammo.
Detective Paul Diskant (Chris Evans), or "Disco" as Ludlow calls him, carries a Glock 17 as his sidearm. Scribble (Cedric the Entertainer) also holds Diskant's Glock when he is forced to pick it up during the shootout at Fremont and Coates' apartment. Fremont (Cle Shaheed Sloan) also uses a Glock 17 as his sidearm.

Colt Commander
Charter Arms Off Duty
After Ludlow kills all the Korean slavers, he looks in their couch and finds a beautifully gold engraved Colt Commander, which he then plants on the unarmed man he shot on the toilet.
Det. Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) keeps a stainless Charter Arms Off Duty hammerless snub-nose revolver as his "burner" or BUG (back-up gun). He keeps the gun loaded with .38 hollow points. When Fremont and Coates attack Terrence Washington (Terry Crews) in the convenience store, Ludlow draws his .38 and fires all five shots, one of which accidentally hits Washington in the right shoulder. Captain Wander (Forest Whitaker) holds the gun after the shootout as he takes the casings from it.

Colt Anaconda
Kimber TLE II
A stainless Colt Anaconda is used by the masked Korean slaver when Ludlow raids their house.
Detective Dante Demille (John Corbett) and Detective Cosmo Santos (Amaury Nolasco) carry Kimber Custom TLE II pistols fitted with SureFire 310R flashlights as their sidearms. Detective Tom Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) also uses Demille's Kimber at one point. Coincidentally, Keanu Reeves had used the early corresponding model of this LAPD SWAT issue pistol 14 years prior in 1994's Speed.

Kahr M9098 Elite 2003
Colt Mk IV Series 80 Combat Commander
One of the Korean slavers carries a Kahr M9098 Elite 2003. Only the Elite 2003 has the polished Stainless Frame. The Kahr M9098 Elite 2003 is the smallest of the Kahr 9mm pistols with a 3" barrel. Once Ludlow raids the Koreans house, he takes his Kahr K9, which he had barely drawn before being gunned down, and uses the Korean's hand to fire two shots into the door to look like he shot first.
Det. Ludlow finds an engraved silver or nickel-plated Colt Mk IV Series 80 Combat Commander with gold-plated hammer and thumb safety after the shootout with the Korean slavers in their house. He plants the Colt on the unarmed man in the bathroom.

Browning M2
Colt Anaconda
Ludlow pretends to sell a Browning M2 heavy machine gun to two of the Korean slavers in order to provoke them into stealing his car and the gun, thus allowing him to track them to their final location. When they first see the gun, they complain how hey wanted a machine gun they could carry, not a 120lb machine gun to scratch up his car with.
A stainless Colt Anaconda is used by the masked Korean slaver aka "Towel Man" (in the credits) (Victor Kobayashi) when Ludlow raids their house.

Remington 870
Kahr M9098 Elite 2003
A Remington 870 with a sawed-off barrel is briefly seen used by one of the Korean Slavers when Ludlow raids their hideout. He manages to hit Tom in the vest with it, before he is killed by Ludlow moments later. The magazine cap clearly shows it is not an Ithaca 37 as it was previously stated, but more likely an 870.
Thug Kim (Walter Wong), one of the Korean slavers, carries a Kahr M9098 Elite 2003. Only the Elite 2003 model has the polished stainless frame. The Kahr M9098 Elite 2003 is the smallest of the Kahr 9mm pistols with a 3" barrel. ==Smith & Wesson Model 642==
Ludlow keeps a stainless J-frame Smith & Wesson Model 642 airweight snub-nose that he keeps loaded with .38 hollow points. When being attacked by Freemont and Coates in the store, he draws his .38 and fires all five shots, one of which hits Washington in his right shoulder. When being informed by the ballistics expert, he claims the gun hit his left scapula (despite the bullet clearly seen hitting his right shoulder), and that a .38 hollow point mushroomed there. A hollow point does not mushroom, it fragments on impact and would be almost impossible to tell what caliber was fired. Even with an unidentifiable bullet, the other two shooters used FMJ rounds would would have been fully intact, which still would have shown there was a 3rd shooter.

The following weapons were used in the film Street Kings:

Handguns

Smith & Wesson 4506-1

Custom Colt Mk IV Series 80
