French Connection II is the 1975 sequel to 1971's The French Connection. The film follows NYPD Detective Popeye Doyle (Gene Hackman) as he travels to Paris to track down the head of the infamous drug ring. Directed by John Frankenheimer, the film was a fictionalized continuation to the events of the first film.

Smith & Wesson Model 36
In The French Connection, NYPD Detective Jimmy 'Popeye' Doyle (Gene Hackman) carried a Colt Detective Special. In the sequel, Doyle is seen smuggling a Smith & Wesson Model 36 with some ammo in his suitcase. He keeps it in his ankle holster and uses near the end of the film.
Browning Hi-Power
Detective Barthélémy (Bernard Fresson) and other French police officers carry Browning Hi-Power pistols, with tangent rear sights. The Hi-Power is seen commandeered by Detective Jimmy 'Popeye' Doyle (Gene Hackman) during the final shootout of the film when one of the detectives gets shot.
M1911A1
One of Charnier's guard is seen opening fire on Doyle with an M1911A1 in the harbor shootout.
Walther PPK
When Jimmy 'Popeye' Doyle (Gene Hackman) is captured by Alain Charnier's (Fernando Rey) thugs, a police officer tailing Doyle tries to pull out a Walther PPK to fire at the thugs before he is run over.
Colt Official Police
One of the French police officers is seen carrying what appears to be a Colt Official Police revolver.
