Doyle's use of the Colt Detective Special and the Smith & Wesson Model 36.

I suppose that it's possible that Doyle carried the Colt as his primary and the S&W as his backup. Possibly on his other ankle. Sure it's a stretch, but what the hell. --Jcordell 00:17, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Gun used by Nicoli in Marseilles?

Nicoli shoots a French policeman in Marseilles.
The target sights, hammer, and trigger identify it as a Colt Gold Cup throughout the film. --Jackbel 20:36, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
I just rewatched this scene and noticed the gun doesn't cycle. Based on that and the lack of a barrel bushing (and its overall difference from the GCNM in the rest of the film) and the fact that this scene was likely filmed in Europe while the other scenes with the gun were filmed in the US, it appears that this is some kind of flash paper or flame-firing replica similar to the Sten gun mockups seen in "The Guns of Navarone." --Caldwellb734 (talk) 10:10, 10 August 2016 (EDT)
