A Better Tomorrow III is a 1989 prequel to A Better Tomorrow. The film follows the experiences of Mark Lee (Chow Yun-Fat) during the time of the Vietnam War. Unlike the first two films, the third installment was not directed by John Woo, but by Tsui Hark (who produced the first two films). The film also goes by the subtitle "Love & Death in Saigon".
