''Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino'' is the sequel of [[Gunslinger Girl]] , an anime series following the tale of cybernetic girls trained by the Italian government to kill, apprehend, or stop plots by the right-wing separatist movement Five Republics Faction ( nickname: Padania), a terrorist group to the eyes of the Italian government. The show consists of five main girls, Triela, Henrietta, Rico, Angelica, and Claes; each has their own history of being there, some sad, some are best left a mystery. These girls are under the care of handlers, an agent in Section 2 of the Social Welfare Agency (SWA), who takes full responsibility of training them to kill and upbringing them to the way they should interact with the public. The team consisting of a cyborg and a handler is called "Fratello" which means "brothers and sisters" in Italian.
[[Image:GGSTeatrino DVDcover.jpg|thumb
The basis of the story is about Pinocchio, a highly skilled assassin working with Christiano, the head of the Padania movement; so skilled in fact that he can beat a trained cyborg in a 1 vs. 1 match. When he is assigned to help freelance bombers, Franca and Franco, with their mission, he gets into a fight with one of the cyborgs. After sparing her life once he defeats her, he starts a personal vendetta between the two that carries on throughout the series.

Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino is the sequel of Gunslinger Girl , an anime series following the tale of cybernetic girls trained by the Italian government to kill, apprehend, or stop plots by the right-wing separatist movement Five Republics Faction ( nickname: Padania), a terrorist group to the eyes of the Italian government.
