:Single action is when you have to manually move the hammer every shot. Ever see a cowboy movie? notice how most of the guns you'll see (like the Single Action Army) has the hammer cocked before being fired. Double Action is when a firearm can have the hammer cocked by pulling the trigger, Take the Glock series of handguns for instance, see how they don't have an exposed hammer. This is just the basics, but hope this helped. --FirearmsNewbie 15:00, 7 December 2010 (UTC) | :Single action is when you have to manually move the hammer every shot. :Yeah, that made it perfectly clear, thanks a lot. That's pretty much what I thought of, but somehow the idea of manually cocking the Desert Eagle after every shot (like, as you mentioned, an old revolver) didn't sit well with me.. I thought I'd better confirm this. Anyways, thanks again for the info. Sentient6 17:51, 7 December 2010 (UTC) | ::Yeah, that made it perfectly clear, thanks a lot. First, that's not an M4/M4A1, there are no rails or anything that would look like rails. They could have used actual M4A1 photos as reference or they could even have a real gun in their office when they modelled the gun, but they still forgot the most important part, so it cannot be the M4 ASSAULT WEAPON. ::::Actually the CS M4A1 is a M4A1, the screws are visible, remember it is incorrectly mirrored, you can see the receiving bits for the nob and screws on the left side instead of the right side, so that means the nobs are now on the right side of the weapon, And the reason you can't see the rail is because, well, the Gold Source engine. :There are some "new" guns I noticed in the HD version: the MP5SD3 was replaced with a suppressed MP5A3, the "M4" is now an actual M4A1 with railed handguard, the P90 was changed to a P90TR with a really stupid iron sight, the G36K has a C-type rail and red dot sight. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 02:04, 31 March 2014 (EDT)

:::Got some videos of it and they made some really weird errors; the MP5A3 has the receiver sides of an SEF trigger pack but a Navy fire selector, and for some reason they decided the auto marking should follow the diagonal raised part of the receiver side. Why exactly does the MP5A3's entry claim that the weapon's 30-round capacity is "underloaded", and why does this have anything to do with the charging handle being pulled vs. being HK-slapped? I mean, I know that you can cram an extra round or 2 into an MP5 magazine, but that doesn't make it anything other than a 30-round magazine. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 16:00, 1 July 2017 (EDT)
:Apparently if you've shoved the full 32 rounds that can fit into an MP5 mag in there, you have to HK slap it because it won't physically fit into the weapon with the bolt closed. Evil Tim (talk) 00:29, 18 July 2017 (EDT) |

Right, I've got a full set of game images for this one now, just need to transfer them to my other PC to edit them since apparently Far Cry thinks one meg is a good size for a 1440x900 JPEG. Tim 01:39, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Is it really? The screws that indicate a removable carry handle are missing. --MattyDienhoff 17:45, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
Single action/Double action
Noticed this in the Desert Eagle section of the article. Can someone explain the difference to me? I'm not a gun expert, but kinda curious about it. Sentient6 13:59, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- Single action is when you have to manually move the hammer every shot. --FirearmsNewbie 15:00, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
